🔥 7 players. 1 team. Plate champions. 🏆

7 northsomersettouchrugby players represented North Somerset Schools at the Try sports National Schools Finals on Friday — and here’s a few of their tries along the way! 🏉

After a full tournament, they battled through to win the Plate Final in an epic 3v3 drop-off! 💪🔥

And to make it even tougher… they were playing against girls 2 years older than them! 👏

Cora, Aila, Isabelle and Scarlett dotting down. Emily, Kyla and Daisy pulling strings!

Any touch player knows that playing an entire tournament with just 7 players is no mean feat. The fitness, resilience and teamwork needed to keep going right to the end was seriously impressive.

Last week we helped 40+ touch rugby players develop their diving, including 20 players representing the South West this weekend! 🔥

What do you think of using high jump equipment to focus the mind on getting low? Our latest innovation really seemed to help.

The challenge? Get under the bar (the Frog), stay low, accelerate through the space (the Lawnmower) and finish strong! 💪🏉

Looking forward to seeing these closed skills make their mark in a real game environment over the next 48 hours! 👊

Loved seeing someone at Under 12 level show this level of communication on the field! 👏

In the morning session, we’d worked on our ‘Quickie’ and ‘Sweeper’ line attack. The players stuck to the script and focused on these plays in the game.
