Just Cockapoos Superfood

Recent research by a leading company in pet food looked into the shopping habits of pet food consumers and their knowledge of the nutritional needs of dogs. The overall result of the survey found that most dog owners are typically uncertain about if they are feeding their dog correctly. Only 2 out of 5 owners felt confident that they are feeding their dog the right nutrition when purchasing their food. A clear factor for owner’s when selecting their pet’s food is the quality of ingredients, with 66% saying that this is a crucial aspect in their purchasing decision. In addition, of the owners surveyed, 90% said an important factor when purchasing food is the preference of their dog, with many saying ‘the food I purchase is a flavour my pet likes.’ These factors correlate with the health and wellness trend in which people are paying closer attention to their pet attitudes, behaviours and health.

Packaged Facts research found that 43% of pet owners strongly agree that they like the idea of healthier food for their pet. At the same time, 37% said they are interested in giving their pet more preventative healthcare. In addition, 34% strongly agree that they are willing to spend more on pet food with health and wellbeing benefits. A separate study by Euromonitor found that pet healthcare products grew by over 9% globally in 2020.

Hope everyone and their dogs are safe after the recent storms and no one incurred any structural damage.
Here in the Lancashire Countryside, we had yet again a power blackout during Storm Eunice.

Blackouts seems to have been a regular occurrence over the past years and our worry always is keeping the dogs and Puppies in particular, warm and safe, so we invested in a great HeatPad product called “SnuggleSafe”.

We had a new Litter born on the 15th February so very critical to keep them warm.
Knowing a storm was coming I heated one of these beforehand to be on the safe side, however was taken aback because the electricity blackout came later than the storm and by this time the HeatPad was cooling, in PANIC, I got Tony to ring a buddy of his 10mins or so away to see if he could warm a couple more for us,

“NO Problem, I have power but you’ll have to bring your own Microwave as mine is broken”, so sent Tony with Pads and a Microwave post haste to his house, (have microwave will travel).

Good decision though, as the electricity was off for a few hours and we were able to keep the Pups safe.
