StressBusters Pilates today with the prickle ball and mini ball 🥰
9.30am & 10.45am in West Wickham with me, Chris Tuck.
Today’s classes are currently fully booked, but we do have spaces available in our Thursday 7.30pm Pilates class at Sparrow’s Den.
Today’s StressBusters Pilates session is all about helping the body release, recalibrate and energise.
We will be using the prickle ball and mini ball to gently work into areas of tension, tightness and stress that often build up in the body without us even realising.
This is where trigger point work can be so powerful. By applying gentle, steady pressure to tight or overactive areas, we can help improve circulation, increase body awareness and encourage the nervous system to soften some of those protective holding patterns we often carry in the shoulders, back, hips, feet and jaw.
But StressBusters Pilates is not just about “rolling on a ball.”
It is still rooted in the true fundamentals of Pilates:
breath, control, concentration, centring, precision and flow.
The breath helps calm and regulate the nervous system, allowing the body to move out of stress mode and into a more balanced state.
The control comes from slowing down, listening to the body and applying the right amount of pressure without forcing or pushing through pain.
The concentration comes from noticing where tension sits, how the body responds, and whether we are gripping, bracing or holding our breath.
The centring helps us reconnect back to the core, spine, pelvis and breath, rather than moving from stress, compensation or imbalance.
The precision comes from the small adjustments — the angle of the ball, the pressure, the breath, the alignment — because small movements can make a big difference.
And then comes the flow. Once the body begins to release and the breath settles, movement can become smoother, freer and more energised.
So today is about more than exercise.
It is about giving your body permission to let go, reset and reconnect.
