THE PRESIDENT is always on the go! This time Russ was helping to transport the tour related stash down to The Duchy. Ably assisted by his daughter he loaded huge boxes of kit into his boot which will be distributed this Friday ahead of our matches.

HERE WE GO!

The 90th Tour playing lineup is lit with a host of quality players. The 33 man squad, supported ably by a huge supporting cast, has players both past, present and future looking forward to an epic weekend. Thanks to everyone that has agreed to play and we’re thankful that they are going to be involved in such a momentous occasion.

With less than a week to go, it doesn’t get much better than this. We hope that as many of the ODs community as possible can make it down to the Cornish Riviera. It’s going to be an action packed, fun weekend, with plenty of opportunities to socialise and join in this historic event.

Rumour has it that it’s going to be the biggest tour yet, with an incredible itinerary being released this Sunday, including a record breaking lunch and much much more. It’s not too late to join us so clear your Easter schedule and join us on this incredible occasion.

A LOOK BACK BEFORE WE HEAD ON TOUR

We’ve been travelling to Cornwall since 1927, but our club’s touring story stretches wider. With next weekend’s trip just around the corner, we’ve dipped into the archives to revisit the 1930/31 tours to the Netherlands by our A and Ex‑A teams.

Led by P. F. Theide, the squads took on Delft University, Eindhoven, and Amsterdam and the photos from the time show not just fierce competition, but some truly outstanding sartorial elegance. They really knew how to dress for an away day.

The 2nd picture also features one of our many, active committee members, B E ‘Bernie’ Partridge. If you recognise anyone else then please add details in the comments section.

A huge thank‑you to Jan Copsey, daughter of G. K. Rowlerson, for sharing these incredible photographs. Adding a lovely twist to the story, Jan’s grandson Ned will be touring for the very first time next weekend as part of our U14 squad. Full circle moments don’t get much better.

A LOOK BACK BEFORE WE HEAD ON TOUR

LESS THAN 2 WEEKS TO GO!!!

Our historic 90th Tour is almost here, and the buzz is unreal. The senior team fixtures are dropping and we’ll be facing some very familiar friends in Not to be outdone, our U14s are gearing up too, taking on local opposition as the perfect warm‑up before the main events kick off.

This tour is going to be massive. Attendance is set to be off the charts, and it’s the perfect chance to reconnect, reminisce, and make brand‑new memories together.

It’ll be here before you know it. Let the countdown begin.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Matt Salter will take place at Bristol Cathedral, College Green, BS1 5TJ, on Thursday 16th April at 1pm.

Matt’s family warmly invites all who wish to attend.

Please note the funeral service will be held privately, with attendance by invitation only.

The family remains deeply grateful for your understanding, love and support during this incredibly difficult time.
