We will be at the Secrets of the heath event on Petersfield heath in beautiful Hampshire this weekend .this is a free event organised by southdowns national park authority .stalls, arena displays and various have-a-go activities .just turn up!

Created this Longbow t'other day, there is a extra partial laminate of hickory in the belly which gives it some extra kick, 256 fps of it according my chronograph! pulls 60 lb @ 28 inches, pretty bow, looking for £175 for it then it goes on eBay

That's all archery fans. Sw challenge finished on Sunday, 160+ archers turned up for the last 2 days, Saturday saw my highest score of the week on another tricky cpunse this time in a pine forest, all in all twas jolly good fun in some stunning locations looking forward to next year. have now swopped bows for for surfboards and headed to Cornwall...

Not my bow in the foreground (cos I'm taking the pic) the dot in the middle is a 3d bison about 6foot high. the whole thing about field archery is the distances are unknown, reckon this one was about 70 odd yards, hit it with my first arrow.. yay!

Day five of the South West Challenge week long field archery competition. Did ok on the first shoot picking up a bronze 3rd place in my class. Now the big guns are coming out, a few national champions are appearing and putting in stupidly high scores. Now it's about personal bests and having fun! Very challenging course today and more of the same tommorow....loving it..
