Mixed results for our league teams.

On Tuesday afternoon our A team won 5-1 against Arclight Bowls Club leaving them 2nd in the league.
The B team won 4-2 against Tiptree Jobserve Bowls Club moving them up to mid table.
Tonight, in the fours league, our team lost 7-1 to Colchester West End.

This week has seen a 100% record in the leagues this week.
On Tuesday the A team won 6-0 away at Tiptree Jobserve Bowls Club.
The B team won 6-0 at home to Colchester.
On Wednesday evening we won 8-0 against Woods.

Our open weekend was held but if you missed it, or if there is anyone out there who couldn't make it for the open weekend and would like to try bowls do give us a ring (07973316981) and we can always arrange a one to one session to suit yourselves.

Great night was at the club on Saturday the 23rd of May the ladies supplied a fabulous ploughman’s supper and pudding. There was fun and games and a 20 question quiz. We also had the first draw of the 50/50 club of which first prize was 40 pounds.

The open weekend continues today so get yourself down to the club and give the sport a go.

The weather is looking superb for our open weekend.

The green is looking great and works continue around the club.

Congratulations to Steve Bannister on his win against Vanessa Allen from West Mersea Bowls Club in the borough singles competition.

First league game tonight away at Mistlee and Manningtree.
Although we struggled with their very bumpy green we equipped ourselves well and managed to win one rink drew one and lost one with the overall scores ending just 4 points between the two clubs so all in all a very respectable start to our campaign well done to all who played.

A good win for our A team in the Tuesday afternoon triples against local rivals West Mersea Bowls Club.

A 6-0 win, winning on both rinks and winning overall shots.

Tonight we begin our 4’s league campaign away at Mistley and Manningtree.

Today saw us take on Danbury Bowls club in a friendly with rinks of triples being played.

One rink drawn 17/17
One rink won 18/17
One rink won 21/10
Great Times was had by all
Drinks tea and biscuits were enjoyed by all .

It wasn’t to be for Richard Parker at the weekend, losing in the National Champion of Champions to Connor Mathers from Frinton.

The games keep coming but the A team lost 6-0 against 3 clubs in the A division.

The B team were playing away at Colchester.

This weekend we welcome a visiting team for Danbury for an annual friendly game at 14:30 on Sunday.
