The BRSCC Pro Sports Sprint Series delivered another great weekend of high-powered action at Donington Park!

Congrats to Luke Woodhouse on securing both overall wins, and a big well done to all of our class winners across the grid. Huge thanks to everyone who entered and raced – your support is helping this new series build real momentum.

In the final race of the day, Luke Woodhouse battled his way to a second BRSCC Pro Sports Sprint series win in race two, taking his VW Golf GTi ClubSport to victory lane!

Klaas Kooiker's BMW M3 E46 and Jas Sapra's F80 M3 made up the overall top three, while class wins went to:

A strong overall race win for Luke Woodhouse in the first BRSCC Pro Sports Sprint race of the day at Donington Park!

Luke's VW Golf GTi ClubSport picks up P1 outright from Jas Sapra's F80 M3 and Klaas Kooiker's E46 M3, with class wins going to:

Welcome to Donington Park for the third BRSCC Pro Sports Sprint Series race event of 2025! It's the series' first ever visit here, and we're racing on the full Grand Prix layout too!

We've got another great mix of rapid machines here - BMWs, VWs, a Caterham, an Ariel Atom, a Lotus Elise, a Renault Clio Cup car, a MINI Challenge JCW and more! This should make for a superb sight on track.

2025 BRSCC PRO SPORTS SPRINT SERIES @ DONINGTON PARK GP - 7/8 JUNE 2025 - RACE MEETING PREVIEW

It’s time for the BRSCC’s new Pro Sports Sprint Series to make its third outing of the 2025 season as we make our first trip to Donington Park, and on the full Grand Prix circuit too. With this grid set to feature another excellent and varied mix of high powered machinery across all six classes, this could be our most competitive contest yet.

There’s only one car in the top class, Class A, but Klaas Kooiker’s BMW E46 will be hoping he gets a good race with some of the other cars around him in the field. That competition could come from one class down, as Class B also features some very interesting entries. There’s John Cockerton, also in a BMW, along with the return of David May in his Ginetta G55 and Jake Spencer taking the wheel of the Ariel Atom Cup car that appeared at our season opener at Silverstone GP. This could be pretty tasty.

Class C is truly the domain of the BMW this time, as four of them get ready to do battle amongst each other. There’s E46s for Tommy Grout and former Compact Cup race winner Oliver Faller along with Antony Unitt dovetailing his SuperSport Endurance commitments, while Jas Sapra is also doing double duty as he returns with his beautiful F80 M3 that he also drove at Silverstone too. Could this quartet end up being pretty evenly matched. Also watch for Luke Woodhouse’s rapid VW Golf Clubsport that has already proven to be a bit of giant killer - will it do the same here?

We can summarise the rest of the field across the next three classes, as they could also end up fighting amongst themselves on track. There’s a SEAT Leon CUPRA for David Lawrence, a Caterham 310R for Lee Collins and a Peugeot 308 Racing Cup car for Dave Tyson in Class D, Richard Goodall’s MINI Cooper Challenge and Matthias Radestock’s Lotus Elise in Class E, and finally a one-on-one duel set for Class F between Wes Payne’s Mazda RX-8, and Jared Coulson’s Renault Clio Cup car.

This multi-class series, structured by power-to-weight ratio, features a diverse lineup - from factory-built GTs to owner-prepared specials - all competing in a no-holds-barred format. 🏁 THE PRO SPORTS SPRINT SERIES CLASS STRUCTURE 🏁

Here's a reminder of the class structure for our Pro Sports Sprint series grid - inspired by the SuperSport Endurance Cup championship, it runs to a similar system, but the key difference is that top class.

Class A welcomes any car running at over 350bhp per tonne, meaning it's open to just about anything exceeds that number! As you can see in the graphic, this series welcomes:

✅ Factory-built GT cars (e.g GT3, GT4 etc).
✅ "Challenge", "Cup" and "Trophy" race cars (e.g Porsche Carrera Cup, Ferrari Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Clio Cup, MINI Challenge etc).
✅ Previous generation Ginetta race cars (e.g. G55, G50 etc)
✅ Gen 1 TCR touring cars (permitted via sublicence)
✅ Sports and track cars (e.g Lotus Elise/ Exige, Ariel Atom etc.)
✅ High performance production based race cars (e.g saloons, hot hatches, sports cars etc.)

This series really is open and welcoming to a vast variety of race cars to take part. With the classes keeping competition close and exciting thanks to the carefully formulated structure, it's already proven to be a great place to race.

The next round at Donington Park is approaching fast, so be sure to get yourself registered and entered before the closing date on Wednesday, June 4th at 5pm!
