What a fantastic game from the boys today against Vale of Clyde!
The boys put in an absolutely brilliant performance from start to finish. There was some fantastic football played, great teamwork and plenty of determination shown throughout. Everyone worked hard for each other and it was a really enjoyable game to watch.

The final score was Whitburn 5–1 Vale of Clyde — a fantastic result and one the boys thoroughly deserved!

🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH – RYAN 🏆

Choosing a Man of the Match today was a very difficult decision after such a fantastic team performance. There were so many great performances across the pitch that the coaches even had to get some help from the parents to decide who deserved it most!

After plenty of discussion, Ryan was chosen as our Man of the Match. He put in a brilliant performance, worked incredibly hard for the team and showed great composure throughout the game.

We also have to mention that cheeky smile from Ryan when the penalty was awarded after the attack on him! 😂 He certainly looked happy with that decision!

A massive well done to all the boys today. Such a fantastic team performance, with everyone playing their part. Plenty to be proud of!

⚽️ Friendly Game – Blantyre 2011 Reds ⚽️

A really competitive friendly for the boys today against Blantyre 2011 Reds.
It was a good battle from start to finish, with both teams working hard and competing for every ball. The boys showed plenty of determination and kept fighting right until the final whistle.

The game ended 3–1 to Blantyre 2011 Reds, with Ljay getting our goal.

🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH – ALFIE 🏆

A fantastic performance from Alfie today and a well-deserved Man of the Match. He worked incredibly hard for the team, showed great determination throughout the game and never stopped battling, even when things weren't going our way. A really strong all-round performance from Alfie.

Well done Alfie, thoroughly deserved!

CUP GAME – BURNBANK WHITES

Today the boys travelled through to Coatbridge for our cup game against Burnbank Whites.

It was a really competitive game, with both teams putting in plenty of effort and battling for every ball. The boys worked hard throughout and, despite going behind, they continued to fight and tried to get themselves back into the game.

There were some good passages of play and plenty of positives to take from the performance, even though the final result didn't go our way. Sadly, the game ended 4–0 to Burnbank Whites, but the scoreline doesn't reflect the effort the boys put in, especially against a strong and competitive side.

🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH – RYAN 🏆

A well-deserved Man of the Match for Ryan today. Playing at left back, he put in a fantastic, composed performance. He stayed calm under pressure, made some great decisions and was reliable throughout the game. He worked hard for the team from start to finish and was a real stand-out today.

Plenty to learn from today's game and lots to build on. Keep working hard boys — we'll go again! 👏

A little something for the boys! 👏

The team have now got their new waterproof jackets, bought using money raised through the fundraising efforts from last season.

A huge thank you to all the parents for your support with the fundraising. It’s because of your time, effort and support that we’re able to provide the boys with things like this and continue to improve the team.

They’re looking smart and, more importantly, they’ll be kept dry when the Scottish weather does what it does best! 😂

Thank you again to everyone who helped out with the fundraising — it’s very much appreciated!

🏆CUP GAME – WHITBURN vs ST PATRICKS🏆

Cup action for the boys today as we took on St Patricks.

The game ended 8–3 to St Patricks, but there were plenty of positives to take from the game and some great moments from the boys.

🎒 NEW TEAM BAGS!

A huge thank you to all of our players and parents for your amazing fundraising efforts, which have allowed us to get the boys their brand-new team bags!

We’re so pleased to see the boys kitted out and ready to go. Bring on Season 2026/2027, where we’ll be competing in the CLYFA League!

We’re still looking for a few more players to complete our team, so if you’re interested in joining the Whitburn FC Rose 2011 family, get in touch!
