The lads can feel very hard done by today, narrowly losing out in a very competitive match in the Scottish Cup against Calderbraes, who are the league above us having won our league last season.
We took the lead in the first half after Callan fired a ball across the box for Callum to knock in.
We had a few chances to extend the lead before the break, but just couldn’t find the back of the net.
Calderbraes came into the game more the second half, but our defence worked hard to keep us in front, with the equalising goal coming after the referee awarded a penalty for handball, which defied all logic.
Calderbraes took the lead late in the game through a very unfortunate own goal, with it looking like the game might be heading to penalties.
Lots to be proud of and thoughts go out to young Derry who suffered a broken wrist in the first half. Speedy recovery pal.
