Gurnards Bowling Back To It’s Best
Hellesveor picked up their first win in 6 games as remarkable bowling saw them claim 17 points against Constantine.
Being stuck into bat, it was only W. Rowe (30) who scored considerable runs, with L. Bray and I. Laity also both scoring double figures. Extras heavily contributed with 29. 110 the total set.
Coming out to bowl, it was a day of class for the bowling side. J. Shaw struck twice in one over to see the visitors 4-2. It was then the wonderful A. Rowe who struck three times to get them 22-5. Shaw struck twice more to leave the visitors 51-7 at drinks.
Then came the introduction of I. Laity who bagged himself two and the winning wicket taken by C. Hampton to see Constantine bowled out for 65.
A much needed win for the Gurnards as they look to stay in the league.
