Silverdale Ducks U8s

Our Mighty Ducks have made the decision to move to Silverdale for the 2026/2027 season. We’ve been to made feel right at home from the start and the new facilities, suppport and surroundings have been nothing short of fantastic.

We were proud to compete in the annual Silverdale Soccer Sevens and it was a great experience and learning curve for the Kids. It was a great reminder of how far we’ve come in 18 months. It also showed how far we still have to go.

Trophy Event 2 of the season completed!

Another great return from the Ducks. Runners Up in our trophy event tournament and all the players got their hands on more medals.

At their age it’s all about playing for fun and development but it certainly helps to win a few things along the way, it’s a rewards for their hard work and dedication and it’s more than deserved.

Today they got to enjoy their achievement with their Parents whose support and backing is critical to helping us develop.

Always a tough one with the Ducks.

Most of them only 6 years old still, still been together as a team less than a year and still finding their feet and place in this mad old world of football.

What I do notice is that every week, one of the kids produces a real moment of magic, a piece of quality and an important play in the match.

Player of the match is a tough choice each and every single week. But to see the reactions of them when they get it and how happy they are despite the result. It’s what weekends are made for!

So we finished second in Group 2 of the first trophy event of the season, so the kids bagged their first medals.

Considering we are a new team and have only all been together since July to be considered a mid level team shows how far they have come in a small amount of time. The level of improvement of those 8 weeks as been there for all to see and all that hard work as paid off with them winning something today.

These kids are going places because Ducks Fly together!!
