Heartbreak for the boys. 💔

After taking the lead in the first half and creating numerous chances throughout the game, we were pegged back in the second half and taken to extra time.

The team continued to pile on the pressure, searching for that breakthrough moment, but despite the effort and chances created, we couldn’t find the winner.

Unfortunately, the tie was decided by the lottery of penalties.

The team have been hard at work, putting the graft in and preparing to give absolutely everything on the big stage. It has all the makings of an intense but exciting day of powerchair football. 💪

We begin with our Quarter-Final tie against Greenbank PFC:

A huge congratulations to Matt Gilbert, who this morning scored his first Senior England goal. 👏 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Matt opened the scoring with the only goal of a dominant first half against Scotland, before an outstanding second-half display saw England run out 6–0 winners.

That result secures a perfect 3 wins from 3 in the group stage, setting up a final against the Republic of Ireland at 16:20. England previously came out 3–1 winners when the sides met earlier in the group.
