The boys come from behind to secure a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Teesside, maintaining our 100% winning record and completing a perfect opening National League weekend.

After falling behind, Jacob Buch-Platt found the equaliser before player-coach Chris Gordon stepped up to grab the winner and seal another huge three points. ⚽️

A brilliant start to the 2026/27 Premiership campaign and plenty to build on.

That concludes our National League action until after the World Cup, but there’s not long to wait to see the team again, we’re back on court next Sunday in the West Midlands Regional League.

A quality squad needs a quality coach… and you don’t get much better than Colin Gordon. πŸ’™πŸ€

We’re delighted to confirm that Colin Gordon will lead our WBA PFC team for the 2026/27 season.

Colin brings a wealth of experience from the professional game, having enjoyed a playing career that included spells with the likes of Swindon Town, Leicester City, Birmingham City, Fulham and Bristol City.

After hanging up his boots, Colin turned his attention to coaching, going on to achieve his UEFA A Licence – making him quite literally the most qualified coach in Powerchair Football.

And if that wasn’t enough, away from coaching Colin went on to establish one of the biggest sports agencies in world football, representing some of the biggest names in the professional game.

However, it’s Colin’s impact on Powerchair Football that many within the sport will know him best for.

A passionate and innovative coach, Colin pioneered a completely different way of playing the game, challenging traditional thinking by developing a system that saw all four players take up outfield positions. His ideas were ahead of their time, and many of the coaching terms and principles commonly used within the sport today can be traced back to Colin’s philosophy.

His knowledge of the game, tactical understanding and ability to develop players will be invaluable to what is an incredibly exciting and ambitious group.

With plenty of talent at his disposal, we’re excited to see how Colin can help shape this team and put his stamp on the next generation of Albion Powerchair Football.

One of the GOATs of Powerchair Football is coming to the Albion. 🐐
We are incredibly excited to announce the signing of Bryan Weiss ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Bryan arrives at the club with a reputation that needs very little introduction. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players to have played the game, his list of achievements speaks for itself.

Quite simply, there isn’t much Bryan hasn’t won in Powerchair Football.
After achieving so much throughout his career, Bryan now makes the move to England in search of a new challenge, and we are absolutely delighted that challenge will be with West Bromwich Albion PFC.
An incredibly intelligent player with outstanding technical ability, composure and a passing range that few in the game can match, Bryan brings not only world-class quality to the squad, but a wealth of experience from the very highest level of the sport.
Speaking about the signing, Powerchair Lead and WBA PFC Head Coach Chris Gordon said:
β€œI’m absolutely thrilled to have Bryan sign ahead of the 2026/27 season. I’ve known Bryan for a number of years and we’ve always discussed playing together at some point in the future.
β€œWe both share a similar view of how the sport should be played. We’ve always been keen to make the game as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved, whether that’s the players on court or the spectators watching, and we hope to play an open, fearless style of football.
β€œBryan knows just how competitive the National League is, though, so we know it won’t be easy. We’re looking forward to working hard in training in the build-up to Nationals to make sure we’re ready.

We’re delighted to confirm that Jack Gauder will make the step up to our WBA PFC squad ahead of the new season! πŸ™Œ
A product of our pathway, Jack began his Powerchair Football journey at the Albion as a young boy and quickly progressed through the ranks into our Championship squad, where he has continued to work hard, develop his game and enjoy his football.
Operating on the wing, Jack’s performances last season certainly caught the eye, none more so than during National League Gameweek 5, where he was the standout performer in the division. 🌟
Speaking about Jack’s move, Chris Gordon, Head of Powerchair Football and First Team Coach, said:
β€œJack has always been a young player with great potential, and we’ve seen glimpses of what he is capable of throughout his time in our pathway.
β€œHe had to take a spell away from the sport to undergo spinal surgery, which is never easy for any young player, but the way he has bounced back since then has been fantastic to see. He returned to the game determined to work hard and has come back a different player.
β€œLike many others, his passion for the sport has always been clear to see, but his desire to win is really what sets him apart. Even in training, Jack is desperate to win, and that is a quality we need within our first-team squad.
β€œJack has settled into the group really well and I’m excited to see how he can grow now he is playing alongside some of the world’s best players.
β€œIt’s now my responsibility to carefully manage his opportunities to ensure he has the best possible experience playing in the Premier League. I’m really excited to see how Jack develops throughout the season.”
