ππ€ FROM THE PATHWAY TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE! βοΈ
Weβre delighted to confirm that Jack Gauder will make the step up to our WBA PFC squad ahead of the new season! π
A product of our pathway, Jack began his Powerchair Football journey at the Albion as a young boy and quickly progressed through the ranks into our Championship squad, where he has continued to work hard, develop his game and enjoy his football.
Operating on the wing, Jackβs performances last season certainly caught the eye, none more so than during National League Gameweek 5, where he was the standout performer in the division. π
Speaking about Jackβs move, Chris Gordon, Head of Powerchair Football and First Team Coach, said:
βJack has always been a young player with great potential, and weβve seen glimpses of what he is capable of throughout his time in our pathway.
βHe had to take a spell away from the sport to undergo spinal surgery, which is never easy for any young player, but the way he has bounced back since then has been fantastic to see. He returned to the game determined to work hard and has come back a different player.
βLike many others, his passion for the sport has always been clear to see, but his desire to win is really what sets him apart. Even in training, Jack is desperate to win, and that is a quality we need within our first-team squad.
βJack has settled into the group really well and Iβm excited to see how he can grow now he is playing alongside some of the worldβs best players.
βItβs now my responsibility to carefully manage his opportunities to ensure he has the best possible experience playing in the Premier League. Iβm really excited to see how Jack develops throughout the season.β
Another fantastic example of our pathway in action. ππ€
Congratulations, Jack! π
