⚽️ CAPTAINCY ANNOUNCEMENT SANDOWN U13 SPITFIRES ⚽️

Over the past four weeks, we have taken the time to select our Captain and Vice Captain for the whole season, rather than changing the roles on a weekly basis.

Two players have consistently stood out for their leadership, encouragement, positivity and communication, while always leading by example both on and off the pitch.

We are delighted to announce that our Main Captain is Bea 💛, with Amber 💜 as our Vice Captain.

Congratulations to both girls — two very deserving players who we know will lead the team brilliantly throughout the season. 👏🏼

A huge congratulations to our mascot Riley Edwards, who won the ‘Make a Difference’ Award at the Isle of Wight Radio Child of Wight Awards last night! 🏆⭐️
We couldn’t be prouder of you, Riley! ❤️

And what better way to celebrate than by making a difference! 🙌
Today, Riley and Sandown & Lake player Lexie delivered all the crisps collected by our Sandown & Lake U13 girls to the hospital, where they will help support Sophies Snack Box Isle of Wight - Sophies Legacy and the children and families who need it most. 🥔❤️🏥

A massive thank you to all our U13 girls, parents and everyone who donated. What an amazing effort from everyone! 💛🖤

Football is about so much more than what happens on the pitch — it’s about teamwork, kindness and making a difference. ⚽️

Summer was determined to complete her 50 Keepie Uppies Challenge… and absolutely smashed it! 🙌

She filmed herself taking on the challenge and went on to achieve an incredible 102 keepie uppies! 🤩👏

Well done to Lexie & Sarina for getting up at 5.30am this morning and joining Coach Emma for a run all the way from Sandown to Shanklin Chine and back before a football training session! 🏃‍♀️💪
They wanted to work on their fitness and improve themselves — and that is what you call commitment! 👏🔥
No excuses, just getting up and putting the work in. 💪

Coaches Connor & Leon had the Sandown & Lake FC U13s working hard this morning, getting that fitness up and putting the girls through their paces! 🔥💨

Plenty of running, strength, agility and, of course, a few tough challenges along the way! 😅💪
