10 years ago when I did my level 2 I had a dream.
My dream was to have the ability to help people believe that they could do fitness on their own terms. That they can enjoy themselves and feel safe and welcome in their surroundings.
8 years ago when I did my level 3 my goal was all of the above. But also to prescribe exercise to those who weren’t confident in movement to empower those who didn’t feel they had made it off the first step.
7 years ago when I took my sports science degree. I specifically enjoyed learning more about the psychology behind exercise. Why people struggle and how to help them. I feel with that I can offer even more to you! Whether it is one to one or in a group environment.
Last year when I completed my level 4 in Sports Massage, which focus’ on injury and rehabilitation. I had two motivations, to use it to rehab myself in order to get back into fitness. But to further understand how our bodies move and function-even when the body is not strictly doing what our brain is telling it too.
Today I am thankful! Thankful for everyone who takes the journey with me. To build bodies that move better, bodies that can begin to function when you feel they have not been, to create people that no matter what their size or back ground, to enjoy the benefits of fun, beneficial exercise. To help fight illness, to wake up with one less ache or pain than usual. And to have the confidence to join in with the world and know that they are welcome and know they deserve the space.
Thank you!
