Wrekin Harriers have training places on Saturday morning 9-10am at Wrekin College school fields. We are training for Track and Field events which for U12's (10 and 11 year olds) it is the Quadrathlon (75m, 600m, Long Jump, Howler throw) We also have training places for U14/U16 athletes. Our next training session will be 9th May 9-10am Wrekin College Fields, Wellington. please contact [email protected] for more information.

Wrekin Harriers is a Junior running and athletics club fore Athletes aged 9 - 16 years.

U11 County Cross Country Championships 14th March 2026

Wrekin Harriers had 18 athletes competing in the U11 County Champs at Concord College on Saturday.
Our U10 girls finished county runners up
U10 boys finished county runners up

Wrekin Harriers, a local junior athletics club in Telford, have spaces for more athletes to join us and train with us. Our friendly and supportive coaches are England Athletics qualified coaches who have completed safeguarding and first aid courses and have a DBS. many are professionals working with children in their day job. We can help build Agility, balance, and coordination skills for running, jumping and throwing events in a fun environment with like minded children. We enter teams in the Shropshire Young Athletes League Cross County, Track and Field and Sportshall competitions. Many WH are selected to represent Shropshire in the inter countries competitions.

The Shropshire School Cross Country Championships 2026 in on Saturday at Oswestry School. This is the highlight of the Cross Country season for Schools and Shropshire athletes.
see below the list of athletes who have won their age group races at the Shropshire Schools Cross Country Championships between 1978- 2025. This year for the first time year 6 athletes will be competing.

Wrekin Harrier athletes competed in the Shropshire County Cross Country at Wrekin College at the weekend. We were low on numbers due to illness and holidays but we did manage to have a full U13 boys team who narrowly missed the top spot and finished as County runners up.
Amelia E our only U20 entry finished 3rd in her respective age group. Congratulations Amelia a podium position. Well done to all who competed in very challenging conditions.
