After taking part in the end-of-season Fun Day Tournament on Sunday, our WRFC U13s rounded off a fantastic season with a special treat.

The players, alongside coaches Matt and George, were fortunate enough to enjoy a private behind-the-scenes tour of the Northampton Saints Stadium. It was a brilliant experience for the squad, giving them the opportunity to explore areas of the ground not usually seen by supporters and gain an insight into life at one of the country’s top rugby clubs.

The visit was a fitting way to celebrate the hard work, commitment and progress shown by the team throughout the season. We are incredibly proud of all the players and grateful to everyone who has supported them along the way.

While the season may be over, it won’t be long before the boys are back in action. The team will reconvene for pre-season training on Wednesday 1st July as preparations begin for another exciting year ahead.

Enjoy the break, boys – you’ve earned it! 🏉

🏉Saints v Tigers Live at WRFC this Friday🏉

Not heading to the game? Come and watch it with us at Wellingborough Rugby Club!

The clubhouse will be open from 5pm on Friday, with Northampton Saints v Leicester Tigers live on the big screen from 7:45pm.

Everyone is welcome – you don’t need to be a member. Bring your mates, grab a drink, and enjoy what should be a cracking game in a great rugby atmosphere.

East Northants U14s finished the season in style with an incredible 50-22 win against Hunts & Peterborough.

All of our WRFC lads put in a fantastic shift and did us proud.

Pictured above, left to right: Riley, Harris, Sham, Will, Kyan and Ollie — all representing WRFC brilliantly.

Also representing East Northants this season were Toby and Jamal, who didn’t play last night but featured in earlier games.

Well done to all the lads — a brilliant effort and a great way to finish the season!

Under clear skies and calm conditions, Wellingborough U13s hosted Daventry for the second time this season, both sides fielding full-strength squads.

Daventry proved a strong and organised outfit, limiting Wellingborough’s attacking opportunities and keeping much of the game in their half. Despite this, Wellingborough delivered a determined and resilient defensive performance. Time and again, the team stood firm with some outstanding one-on-one tackles, preventing certain tries and making their presence felt physically across the pitch.

Daventry’s ability to create consistent line breaks ultimately proved the difference, but the final score line does not reflect the sheer volume of defensive effort or the significant improvement Wellingborough have shown throughout the season. The commitment, work rate, and willingness to put bodies on the line were clear for all to see.

Man of the Match went to Isaac, whose consistency in the tackle, relentless positive attitude, and encouragement of teammates set the standard from start to finish.
