Hip hinge (photos are a bit dark as it's a pretty dull morning)

*Stand up tall, arms crossed over your chest

*Feet hip width

*Try to pinch your shoulder blades together

*Take a deep breath in through your nose and brace your abdominals on the exhale

*keeping your legs straight move you hips backwards until you feel your hamstrings stretching, try to keep your shoulder blades pinched together throughout

*Return to standing

Press up

*From all fours place your hands under your shoulders at shoulder width or just wider

*Come up onto your toes, if doing it from knees lower your hips towards the floor until they are in line with your knees and shoulders

* From this start position try to pinch your shoulder blades together and brace your abdominal muscles

*Lower your body towards the floor, ideally until your nose and chest are almost touching or until your chest is level with your elbows if you are unable to go that low.

*From the bottom position drive your hands through the floor and push yourself back to the start position

Not going to rugby training tonight, so managed to get out for a 7k run this afternoon. Not a great run. Would like to get my average down to 5 mins a kilometre, well of at the moment. Work to be done.

We did a 1km run at Bootcamp on Saturday, I pretty sure all the guys loved it?!? 😬🀣

Having a fitness goal is great, however just focusing on the end goal especially if you have a lot of work to do can be very daunting, as a result you can become very demotivated and lose your way. Break it down, focus on the 24hrs ahead of you. What can you do today to edge closer to your ultimate fitness goal?
