Hard fought 2-1 defeat away to Burscough Dynamo. But our best team performance of the season. Hard work, grit, determination, team spirit, defensively solid, fast on the counter, excellent passing and an impeccable team attitude.

We rotated players throughout and often playing in different positions. It took Burscough Dynamo 35-40 minutes to score against us, and the way they celebrated showed just how much of a game we gave them.

We never gave up and managed to work an excellent team goal with a fantastic assist by Harrison and a cool half volley finish from Cass. They nicked it on the break with 4 minutes to go. And we even tried to get ourselves another leveller late on.

We have received some glowing feedback from the opposition coaches and today have set the standards for the minimum we expect in terms of performance and attitude to the team cause. We have taken many strides forward today as a group and we continue to push forward no matter how hard we get hit.

MoM went to Ben H in goal (also mentioned by the opposition coach) and to Thomas for brilliant attitude. Our players player of the match went to Cass.

Our inaugural end of season awards took place yesterday at Netherton Sports & Social club (who are also our club sponsor)

What a first season!! Our boys have developed so much as team over the last 12 months and our performance has far exceeded everyone’s expectation from this time last year.

We are privileged to be a part of this fantastic team of kids, coaches and families.
