Really proud of the boys today with Valencia getting the win. Every single one of them was exceptional. Honestly, they all deserve Man of the Match for the effort they put in.

We had players stepping up and playing out of position for the team, lads tracking back and helping each other, and a real determination to win every ball. That attitude and commitment is exactly we want to see.

What stood out the most wasn’t just the scoreline, but the teamwork, the work rate, and the way the boys fought for each other from start to finish. That’s what helps a team grow, learn, and keep progressing week by week.

A few mentions for the boys because they thoroughly deserve the credit for their contributions to the team today:

Jacob – Exceptional in goal, pulling off some outstanding saves and giving the team real confidence at the back. Some brilliant reactions and bravery when it mattered. 👏

Lucas – The work rate was incredible. Pushing high up the pitch to press for the team and then making sure he sprinted back to his defensive position. That kind of effort helps the whole team. 👏

Rory – Never stopped working all game. Played in any position that was asked of him without hesitation and gave everything for the team. That attitude is priceless. 👏

Archie – Solid at the back and battled for absolutely everything. Strong in challenges and showed great composure when defending. 👏

Jakey – Played class in defence today. Blocking shots, making challenges and putting his body on the line. In a position he doesn’t necessarily favour, he absolutely smashed it. 👏

Elliot – Outstanding match. Battled all game, created chances and worked incredibly hard for the team. I even saw the little tug on the other player’s bib and the determination to hold him back 👀 😂 👏

Isaac – Brilliant defensively, dealing with those long balls and stopping so many attacks before they became dangerous. Really strong performance at the back. 👏

Tyler – Read the game really well today. Cutting passes out, defending strongly and standing his ground exceptionally well when under pressure. 👏

What made today special wasn’t just the win, it was the character, the effort, and the way the boys played for each other. They supported each other, worked for each other and never gave up.

One final thing that probably stood out the most for me was at the end of the match. When lining up, the opposition coaches refused to line up and shake our boys’ hands. But instead of reacting negatively, our lads walked over to the sidelines and shook their hands anyway.

For me, that shows real class. Politeness, kindness, and most importantly respect. None of the boys were prompted to do that kind gesture — they just did it naturally, and that says everything about them as a team and as young people. ❤️

Couldn’t be prouder of them today. A brilliant team performance on to the next one well done lads proud as always ❤️👏💪⚽️

Well done to the boys today. It was a very tough match compared to the previous time we played them, but the boys did exceptionally well.

They were a very well organised and aggressive side, but the boys did an amazing job competing with them from start to finish. At times you could see them becoming frustrated, and that was largely down to the boys’ unbelievable defending, determination and willingness to work for each other.

Although we lost the game, the most important thing to take from it is the attitude and character the boys showed. They didn’t drop their heads when we conceded, they never gave up, kept trying to create chances, battled for every ball and dealt with everything that was thrown at them like pros. That kind of resilience and team spirit is exactly what we want to see.

There were some great moments throughout the game ,strong tackles, good decision making, and players supporting each other all over the pitch. Everyone played their part and worked incredibly hard for the team.

You all showed up today and did a brilliant job regardless of the scoreline. It really shows how much progress you’ve all made since the start of the season compared to when we first played them. Performances like that prove how far this team has come.

Football isn’t always about the result it’s about effort, attitude and sticking together as a team, and today you showed all of that in abundance.

Next week we go again. Keep your heads high, keep working hard in training and keep believing in yourselves and each other. If you keep playing with that determination and togetherness you will always be winners.

Be proud of yourselves today boys the coaches certainly are. 👏⚽👍🏻

MOTM-🏆

Another great comeback from 1–0 and then 2–1 down saw Valencia fight their way to a deserved win, built on great pressing and relentless effort across the pitch.

Every challenge was met with commitment, and the willingness to recover, defend together, and attack with purpose reflected a team growing in confidence. The resilience shown to protect the lead and fight until the final whistle summed up a performance built on effort, unity, and belief.

A special mention to Archie, who played in several positions today. When asked to drop back, he did it without hesitation — even giving a thumbs up — showing he’s happy to play anywhere for the team as long as he’s on the pitch. That attitude is a class act and deserves real credit.

Their coach had some hilarious moments on the sidelines, but also gave great credit to the Valencia boys for their fight and determination, which says a lot about the performance.

Games coming thick and fast would really benefit these boys. Today showed exactly why match time is so important in their progression — 50 minutes never quite feels enough when momentum and confidence are building.

We’re aware there are areas to improve (nothing major), just guidance and a little more self-esteem and belief in themselves as individuals. That will come with time and continued effort.

MOTM: Logan 🏆

Today didn’t go our way and Valencia lost, but the second half was amazing — the fight in the boys was exceptional and the scoreline didn’t really reflect the effort and determination to bring it back. Today just wasn’t our day, and unfortunately we can’t win every game, but we must look to improve by building each other up. I know at times it’s frustrating, but that’s not what we’re about.

At half time I mentioned that blaming each other when we go behind has to stop. If it continues, we will take players off even if it means playing with less. We’re united when we win, so we also need to be united when we lose. The opposition feed off negativity and that’s when mistakes happen.

No single individual is to blame for conceding — it’s the responsibility of everyone on that pitch, and we need to take accountability as a team instead of looking for someone else to blame. We totally appreciate that some boys weren’t feeling 100% but still turned up and gave it their all. That commitment to the team matters.
We can bounce back Wednesday with our friendly match.all the boys try and give their all and we don’t mind a defeat, being challenged is a good thing it makes the lads stronger helps them to improve going forward.

Thanks to the parents/supporters today the encouragement really give the boys a boost.

Well done boys for not given up and seeing it right to the end.

Unbelievable comeback, boys! Going 3–0 down in the first half and still finding a way back shows incredible heart, belief, and fight from every single one of you. That effort, resilience, and never-give-up attitude is what this team is all about. Be proud of that performance—massive shift from everyone.
What you showed out there says everything about you as players and as individuals. Coming back from 3–0 down isn’t just about football ability — it’s about character, belief, and refusing to accept defeat. When the game was at its toughest, you stood up, backed each other, and kept pushing.

That performance proves what you’re capable of when we support eachother and trust yourselves. Each one of you will take confidence from knowing you can handle pressure, adversity, and setbacks. Moments like that change players — they build resilience, self-belief, and a winning mindset that stays with you all.
That comeback is something you can always look back on and say,we never gave in, and we found a way.

Well done boys it was a fantastic way to end 2025 it’s been a another great year little unsettled at the beginning but we found our feet and now we are thriving.A huge well done for over coming obstacles and chosen to Stick together and ride things out until we found our form.

MOtM-the whole team 🏆
Proud of every one of you. That comeback only happened because you worked together, stayed positive, and never stopped fighting for each other. When things were tough, you stuck as a team and showed real belief. That’s what strong teams do — and that’s something to build on going forward. 💪⚽
