18 months ago they were just getting started.
This weekend they stood on the start line of the HYROX World Championships.
The result wasn’t the PB we were chasing, but sport doesn’t always reward you exactly when you want it to. Sometimes life, travel, work, stress, recovery and race-day conditions all have their say.
What I’m most proud of isn’t the time on the clock.
It’s the people and athletes they’ve become.
Real strength isn’t about lifting the heaviest weight or running the fastest split.
Real strength is showing up consistently when nobody is watching.
It’s training when motivation is low.
It’s supporting your teammate when you’re struggling yourself.
It’s committing to a goal that might never be guaranteed.
Over the last few months I’ve watched Izzy and Lauren transform into genuine performance athletes.
Disciplined.
Resilient.
Coachable.
Committed.
And that’s worth far more than any finish time.
The race ends. The person you’ve become remains.
