HYROX CARDIFF 🏟️ | A lesson in resilience

Yesterday didn’t go to plan.

I’m 50. I’m a coach. I trained hard. I aimed for 1:30.
But a third of the way through, my asthma hit. Hard.
I had to stop. Walk. Breathe. Inhaler. Regroup.

For a moment I thought, “This could be it.”
But another voice said, “Just keep moving.”
That voice got me to the finish line – 1:47.

Not the time I wanted.
But the experience I needed.

Because overcoming setbacks – not avoiding them – is what real strength looks like.

Chronic asthma may slow me down.
But it won’t stop me. Ever.
