One thing people don’t talk about enough⬇️

What happens when the race is over and you don’t have your next goal lined up?

After months of training for HYROX, having a plan and working towards something specific, it’s completely normal for motivation to dip a little.

I’ve felt it. But here’s what I’m reminding myself…

Moving your body shouldn’t only happen when there’s a competition in the diary.

The medals, finish lines and race days are amazing, but the real win is creating a lifestyle where movement is just part of who you are. Because being fit, strong and healthy in your 50s is a privilege.

Being able to run, lift, train and challenge ourselves is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

So whilst we might be deciding what the next challenge looks like, we’re still showing up.

Not because we have to. Because we can. And that’s something we should never take for granted 💙

For now, we’ll keep moving, keep enjoying the process and when the next goal comes along… we’ll be ready for it.

Who else struggles with motivation once an event is over?🤨

Why your old workouts stopped working after 40 👀

If you feel like you’re working harder than ever but getting less results, you’re not imagining it.

After 40 and especially through menopause your body changes.

The workouts that used to work in your 20s and 30s, often stop giving the same results because your body now needs a different kind of support.

Recovery matters more.
Muscle matters more.
Protein matters more.

And endless cardio while under eating? That usually just leaves women exhausted, inflamed and frustrated.

This is where so many women think they need to push harder. But doing more isn’t the answer anymore. Doing smarter is.

Strength training. Proper recovery. Enough protein. Supporting your hormones instead of fighting against them.

Your body isn’t broken, it just needs a different approach now👏🏼

The biggest mistake I see women make in menopause?

Trying to eat as little as possible while doing more and more cardio. And I get why.

For years we’ve been told that if we want to lose weight we just need to move more and eat less.

But during menopause, that approach often just leaves women exhausted, stressed, losing muscle, struggling with recovery and frustrated that nothing is changing.

Your body is changing, so your approach has to change too. This is the time to focus on:
👉🏼 strength training
👉🏼 eating enough protein
👉🏼 prioritise recovery
👉🏼 supporting your body instead of fighting it

Not hours and hours of cardio and surviving on salads. I say this all the time to clients, doing more isn’t always the answer anymore. Doing smarter is.

Strength training changed everything for me in midlife and it’s one of the best things you can do for your body through menopause 💙

Save this if you needed the reminder!

Are you perimenopausal and too tired to work out?

I speak to women in this stage every single day who tell me the same thing…

“I know I need to exercise but I’m exhausted”
“I don’t have the time”
“I barely have the energy to get through the day”

And honestly, I get it.

During perimenopause, energy can feel completely unpredictable. Between work, family, social life, broken sleep and everything else on your plate, fitting in a workout can feel impossible.

But here’s what I always remind them:
❌You do not need to spend hours in the gym
✔️Sometimes a few sets of dumbbells at home is all you need
💪🏼30 minutes of intentional movement can make a huge difference

➡️ Quick and effective workouts
In just 30 minutes you can support your metabolism, build strength and train your muscles without needing huge chunks of time.

➡️ Fit it into YOUR real life
Before work, on your lunch break or later in the day when life quietens down, it doesn’t need to be perfect to be effective.

➡️ Consistency matters more than long workouts
Your body responds better to regular movement than one long session every now and then.

➡️ It can boost your energy and confidence
Even short workouts can help you feel better physically and mentally during this stage of life.

Start small. Make it realistic. And remember, it’s not about finding time. It’s about making a little time for yourself.
