🏆 The McNamara Trophy at the Irish Club 🏆

What a fantastic day at the Irish Club last weekend as we had the pleasure of hosting the McNamara Trophy!

A brilliant day of crown green bowls, great competition and, most importantly, some brilliant people coming together to enjoy the game we all love. 👏

The final saw Adam Delooze take on Ben Morley in a fantastic contest, with Ben eventually coming out on top to lift the trophy! 🏆

After an 11-year wait, Ben finally regains the McNamara Trophy — a fantastic achievement and one that makes the win even more special.

A massive well done to Adam on reaching the final, and thank you to everyone who played, supported and helped make the day such a great success.

Here’s to many more great days at the Irish Club! 🍀🏆

🏆 Joe Watson Memorial Competition 2026 🏆

What a fantastic day we had at the Irish Club for this year’s Joe Watson Memorial Competition.

A huge congratulations to Rob Lawrenson, who successfully defended his title to become Joe Watson Memorial Champion for the second year running! 👏

We were also treated to something of a rarity… sunshine all day! ☀️ It made for the perfect setting, with some excellent bowling, great company and a brilliant atmosphere throughout.

On behalf of everyone involved, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to every player, supporter, volunteer and spectator who came along and helped make the day such a success. Your support means so much and helps us continue to honour Joe’s memory in the best possible way.

⚽🏆 WORLD CUP SWEEPSTAKE – OPEN TO EVERYONE! 🏆⚽

The Irish Club Bowls Team is running a World Cup Sweepstake and we’d love your support!

As a non-profit charitable organisation, all proceeds raised will go towards improving and maintaining our club facilities for members and the local community to enjoy.

💷 Entry: £5 per team
🎟 Teams allocated by raffle draw
🏆 Winner receives 50% of the prize pot
⚽ £20 bonus prize for the highest-scoring match in the tournament (90 minutes only – extra time and penalties excluded)

Whether you’re a football fan or just fancy a bit of fun, this is a great way to support the club while having a chance to win.
