Are we sad that we didn’t win? Of course we are! But we gave it everything, not just in this match, but throughout the whole season.
At one point, we were close to pulling out of the Premier Division when we realised we were the only team from the North West taking part this year. But we honestly thought it was exactly the test this team needed.
This group has fought hard in every single match. We’ve had to learn, adapt and improve quickly, and that experience has developed every single player both on and off the pitch.

Then came the Grand Final.
We were relaxed, focused and ready to leave absolutely everything on the pitch.
And what a match it was!
We threw everything at Hull KR, but their defence was outstanding. With just a few minutes left of the first half, an interception close to the KR try line saw them run the full length of the pitch to score. 4-0 at half-time.
The second half was just as fiercely contested. We kept pushing, kept attacking and never stopped believing. With the clock ticking and the score at 12-0, we still refused to give up, and Isla S. finished off a brilliant try from an outstanding offload from Faye to make it 12-4.
We kept fighting right until the final whistle, but 12-4 was how it finished.

Yes, there were plenty of emotions. There always are after a Grand Final. But when the dust settles, we can look back and say:
What a season.
What a Final.
What a team. πŸ¦…

Every single one of you should be incredibly proud of what you have achieved this year.
A huge thank you to our coaches, volunteers, parents, families and sponsors for everything you have done to support this team along the way.
This season has been about so much more than results, it’s been about the bond this group has built, on and off the pitch.

And finally, congratulations to Hull KR. You guys were brilliant and deserved your victory. πŸ‘
