A Brilliant performance by our Under 9’s at the Doncaster Spring Champions tournament 2026.

It was a long, hot day but the lads dug in and after finishing in the play off places during the group stage we managed to win the semi final and final on penalties. The lads showed nerves of steel to get us over the line and win the tournament. Great performance all round 👏🏻

Our U8 lions started their summer league campaign today away at their local rivals Edlington whitestars U9s☀️☀️

The boys got off to a quick start, battled hard throughout, played some quality football.

The lions roared and had an amazing first game scoring some top tier goals

U10s League champions again 🦁🏆

Another brilliant season from this group, with the lads continuing to improve and step up every year. We’ll move up again in September, face stronger opposition, and look forward to the challenge.

Today we expected nerves and a close game, but the lads were brilliant from the first minute and never let Sprotbrough settle. The work rate, attitude and quality across the pitch was there for all to see.

Well done Lions 🦁 Champions again — ole ole!

First game of the U11 summer league was at home to APR greens.
The Lions got off to a great start with Jax scoring early on in the first half. The Lions kept up the pressure with Jax, Sam and Jacob both coming close.
Adwick then hit us on the break to equalise before half time.
The second half was a more close run battle with both teams having plenty of chances. APR made the breakthrough and went 2-1 up.
Both teams legs were getting tired now but both carried on battling.
A precision kick from Aiden in goal found Euan in the centre of the park who played it out to Sam on the right who beat his player and shot from distance the ball looping up and over the keeper to make it 2-2.
The ref blew for full time straight after.

Lions U13’s 5

Now we’ve had our Sunday dinners and had time to reflect, what a performance that was!
If Thorne won today they were almost guaranteed promotion up to the prem, we’ve now taken that out of their hands.
No one gave us a chance today, I think we all thought it was going to be a massive ask to go away to second in the league Thorne with 11 players and no keeper and some strong players missing.
The coaches have never been so happy for a team than we were today for our boys, the effort they put in was unbelievable, everyone of them were amazing. 11 man of the match performances against a team who thought they were already promoted, but now they’re not.

Warmsworth Lions U10’s Match Report

The Lions earned a well-deserved draw away at Dunscroft, picking up our first points against them after a number of tough encounters in recent times.

It was an excellent performance from the team, particularly with a few players missing through injury and illness. The boys worked hard for each other throughout and showed great determination to come away with a positive result.

A strong response and a good team performance all round. Well done, Lions!

U10s Extend Unbeaten Run!

A great away win for our Under 10s at Edenthorpe today, extending their impressive unbeaten run.

The team started well and played some excellent football, but full credit to Edenthorpe who battled hard and mounted a strong fight back to make it a real contest. The boys showed fantastic resilience and teamwork to weather the pressure and see the game out.

Another strong performance built on effort, determination, and great team spirit!
