Not posted anything in such a long time, almost forgotten how to do it.

I’ve been meaning to come here for years. Definitely worth the out of season trip for crowd avoidance.

From the lower south western tip of Portugal, to near the most western tip of what was once Europe, Isle of Tiree, Inner Hebrides, Scotland... and with what’s been going on, it’s been quite a year for this van “Ozzy”
:
From yesterday’s storms to a fairly mild today, this looks over Gott Bay, Tiree. 4km of golden sand and clear water seas, this is the largest bay on the island.

Well that was an interesting couple of days... A nice storm with 70mph winds.
:
I thought the van was going to blow over 😄. To top it off, there was a power cut, so there was also no communication either as I guess the masts were not working either.
:
Plus side, the van didn’t blow over, the roof wasn’t ripped of like opening a tin of beans (the roof was down the whole time, but the wind was still trying to lift it up at the back), there is always food in the cupboard, the routine of keeping the batteries full and healthy works, the diesel heater is an absolute necessity and the box of wine you keep for rainy days is there for that very reason...

It’s not all sunny locations and great beaches 🤷🏼‍♂️😎😄

Up to 70mph winds... and it’s only been going on for 2 days.

Very important to keep developing yourself. Don't lose the edge.

The small detail forgotten, can have big repercussions

Totally magnetic

Absolutely loving this place. The landscape and wildlife is pretty breathtaking. First time on the Isle of Skye and it’ll need to be revisited...
:
From a van point of view, leave the main road and head off down the small single track roads, and you’ll find great places to stay the night... it’s a wild wild place.

These guys and girls are huge...!!! And extremely laid back.

I wouldn’t want to get in to a stand off with them though. Those horns look like they go straight through the van 🥴

Tim’s Kitchen - update people 😄😎
:
Mushroom Stroganoff..., with flacky white rice...
:
Gotta say, this could be a new van FAV 🤷🏼‍♂️😍
:
Softened white onion with garlic and paprika. Substituted veg stock with Boulillon, Lee & Perrins, seasoning and half fat sour cream.
:
Tim’s kitchen version also had a tiny bit of chipotle chilli paste.
:
Winner, winner - winner!

If you’re doing a van build, be sure to add one to your list. Mine is an Eberspacher model, but there are other variants...

This is not what I thought John o Groats was. I presumed it was just the sign post to Lands End. But then there is this, a cliff top walk. And that made it worthwhile 👌.
