Full Time: Everett Ladies 2 - 3 United in Memory 🩵
Before the game even started last week, we had a massive decision to make. We knew we only had 9 players, we had to ask ourselves: do we forfeit and deal with the fine or do we just get on with it and hope for the best?
We decided to play, and honestly, it turned into one of those games we’ll be talking about for a long time.
First, a massive shoutout to In a league where everyone wants the points, they showed pure class by starting with 10 players. That’s what the game is actually about. 🤝
The first half was a struggle. We didn’t have our usual keeper, so stepped up and put the gloves on for the team.
We went into the first half 2-0 down, and it would have been so easy to just pack it in. We were tired, short on numbers and had a couple of people who was playing out of position. But the halftime talk was simple: “Keep your heads up, work for each other and just have some fun.”
That’s exactly what they did. The second half was just pure heart. We dug in, backed each other up and somehow found the back of the net three times to turn it around. To the 9 girls who showed up and gave every bit of energy they had, we couldn’t be prouder of you.

Because of the shift everyone put in, we actually couldn’t pick a Player of the Match. It felt impossible to single one person out when every single person on that pitch played amazing . It was a 10/10 performance from the whole team.
