Wantage Gymnastics Centre is growing, and we’re looking for Level 1 and Level 2 Gymnastics Coaches to come and join our team.

We have a range of opportunities available, from Assistant Coach positions through to Lead Coach roles, with both part-time and full-time hours available.

Whether you’re looking for a few extra coaching hours, your next step in gymnastics, or the opportunity to build a longer-term career within the sport, we’d love to hear from you.

This Saturday is the perfect opportunity to come in, have a look around and see what WGC is all about.

Our team have been busy this week making improvements to the Gymnastics Centre ready for the new term, and we’d love to welcome new families in to see the gym for themselves.

🚨 NO OVER 5s OPEN PLAY THIS SUNDAY 🚨

Just a quick reminder that there will be no Over 5s Open Play this Sunday 30th August due to important maintenance work taking place at the gym. 🔧

We’re using the day to get some essential work completed ready for the start of the new term.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. 💙

2026 marks 50 incredible years of Wantage Gymnastics Centre, and we’re inviting our members, families, former gymnasts, coaches and friends to join us for a very special 50th Anniversary Gala at the amazing Williams F1 in Grove!

Wantage Gymnastics Centre is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced gymnastics professional with proven leadership experience to lead our Participation Department.

Following our move into our fantastic new facility, this is an exciting opportunity to join the WGC leadership team, develop our coaching team and help shape the next stage of our club’s growth.

You’ll lead and develop our:

👶 Pre-School Programme
🎉 Events & Birthday Parties
⭐ Coaching team, programme quality & member experience

Essential Requirements

✅ Level 2 or equivalent gymnastics coaching qualification
✅ Proven leadership or management experience
✅ Significant gymnastics coaching experience
✅ Proven experience leading, supporting & developing other coaches
✅ Confident communication & people-management skills
✅ Organised, proactive & driven approach
✅ Current Safeguarding qualification
✅ Current First Aid qualification
✅ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undertake one)

⏰ Full-Time
💷 £28,000–£32,000 depending on experience

No competitions in July… which means one thing… 💪✨

Time to learn, improve and push for new skills.

Our Summer Squad Camp is well underway, with every gymnast setting exciting new targets to achieve before the Autumn competition season. From refining the basics to unlocking brand new progressions, it’s been brilliant to see the hard work, determination and confidence growing every day.

The medals are won long before competition day – they’re built through hours of training, perseverance and never giving up.

We can’t wait to see these new skills come together when competition season returns this autumn! 🤸💙

☀️ Summer Camp 2026 – Week 2! 🤸‍♀️

What another fantastic week at Wantage Gymnastics Centre! The gym has been full of energy, laughter and lots of brilliant gymnastics.

From exciting new warm-up games and gymnastics challenges to Ninja Camp, Dance Camp, Craft Camp and Squad Training, the children have had an action-packed week learning new skills, making friends and having loads of fun!

A huge well done to everyone who joined us, and thank you to our amazing coaching team for making it another brilliant week! 💙🖤
