Fancy taking your paddling in a whole new direction?

On Sunday 27th September, I’ll be running a BCAB Flat Water Freestyle Award — the perfect entry point into the world of freestyle kayaking! 🔥

This course is all about building the foundations you need to start making your kayak move in ways you never thought possible.

We’ll be getting into:

🛶 Edging
💦 Tail sq**rts
🔄 360° flat spins
⚡ Lean cleans
🔀 Pivot turns
💥 Double pumps
🚀 Assisted pop-outs & loops
🤙 Rolling

We’ll take the skills you already have in a normal kayak, put you into a shorter freestyle boat, and start exploring what happens when we get the kayak off-axis!

The aim isn't just to tick off an award — it's to give you the skills, understanding and confidence to get out on the flat water and start having fun with freestyle. 🌊

You'll also receive an e-certificate on completion and have the foundations you need to progress towards the next BCAB Freestyle Award.

VOLUNTEER FREESTYLE PADDLERS NEEDED 🛶

As part of our upcoming Freestyle Coach Education course, we’re looking for a small number of paddlers to take part in the practical coaching sessions.

You’ll act as student paddlers while the coaches practice and develop their coaching skills under guidance.

🗓 Sunday 22nd February
⏰ 1:30pm–3:30pm
💥 Free of charge

You can attend either day — or both.

This is a great opportunity to:
• Receive focused coaching
