Abbey youth blacks v Hitchin town cobras

The Blacks came back to form today after the disappointment of last week.
The boys started quite slow for the first 5-10 minutes and were lucky to not be 1 down before we went straight up the other end for Olly E to score our first.
We looked really dangerous from corners today and got our second before half time with Teddy reacting first and slotting home.
We came in at half time and we spoke about being a bit more clinical and to keep playing our football.
We came out firing in the second half Olly E winning a penalty that Will converted well.
Then Will and Olly C both came to the party.
Both completing hat tricks before the full time whistle and playing with great confidence.

Very proud of the defence and Alf for the clean sheet, They know how important clean sheets are.

Credit to Hitchin today for not giving up and playing the right way.

Well done boys best second half of the season so far.
Great to get back to winning ways.

Wormley v The Blacks
We kept the 100% record going with a 1-7 away win today.
To be honest I know we can play better but still swept aside Wormley today, it could have been double figures bar there goal keeper.
First half we were superb playing the football I know we can. We was also very composed in front of goal.
Second half we stepped off the gas and made it more of a game but defensively we were so good again.
And the fire power we have going forward I know we will score goals.
2 games 2 wins +13 goal difference!

First game of the season today!
What a brilliant start for the boys in our first competitive game.
We were ok first half I thought we could have moved the ball quicker but was clinical in front of goal and game in 2-0 up.
We had a chat at half time about if we could move the ball quicker and look for the runs in behind as the opposition played very high.
The boys took that on board and we really put them to the sword. Running out 7-0 winners.
Great start boys!
We need to build on this next week.
