Riley has now completed his first ever race weekend. Here a quick recap:
Saturday
Heat 1 - DNF, Riley took to much speed into the top bend, clipped the curb got a big bounce on and found himself crashing into the outside wall.🫣
Heat 2 - His confidence tuck a big hit after the crash in race 1. So he held back finished the race and started to build that confidence back up.
Final - Under the floodlights once again he held in all together completed the race gaining more confidence and experience.
Sunday
Heat 1 - finished 9th. A starting grid of 16 cars saw quite a bit of drama and this ment only 9 cars finished the race. Riley managed to keep it on track and out of trouble to pick up his first championship points with a wounded car after a bearing failure.
Heat 2 - Riley’s confidence was growing every minute, his lap times continued to fall and with that another race was completed.
Final - finished 12th. Time to shine, Riley put together everything he had learnt from the weekend went out full of confidence and it showed. It was his best performance with consistent laps times and so his efforts rewarded by picking up some more points.
