⭐️🏁SKEGNESS TREBLE🏁⭐️
An exciting long weekend full of fun, laughs and, at times, total carnage. We’ve had some rough moments, the cars had damage on all four corners and we only finished 5 of 9 races. Weather has been changeable and challenging for Riley, he has also had his fair dose of bad luck. But still we push on, and so much has been learnt. We left on a high and with smiles after grabbing some points in the final race on Monday.

⭐️THURSDAY⭐️
-RACE 1️⃣🏁 No practice this weekend, so it was a steady start getting a feel for the car and track as parts had been replaced. Safely home in 14th.
-RACE 2️⃣🏁 It was all over before we got to Turn 1. Chaos on the start line and Riley got taken out by another driver, hitting the wall at speed and causing considerable damage. DNF.
-RACE 3️⃣🏁 Started well and was making good ground, sitting in a points finish… until some suspect unseen damage from Race 2 reared its head. A damaged rear wheel bearing broke up, causing the wheel to become insecure. DNF.

⭐️SUNDAY⭐️
-RACE 1️⃣🏁 Great start showing good, consistent pace. Unfortunately finished just outside the points in 11th.
-RACE 2️⃣🏁 Total chaos from the start, with only 7 of the 15 starters finishing. People crashing left, right and centre. Riley also ended up on the infield after taking avoiding action — he got into a bounce and his chain came off. DNF.
-RACE 3️⃣🏁 Riley was settling into the race nicely but hit a bump on entry to Turn 1, putting him into a giant bounce he couldn’t control. He went into the infield tyres, hurt both arms and was unable to finish the race. DNF.

⭐️MONDAY⭐️
-RACE 1️⃣🏁 Strong, confident start and a great drive. Unlucky to just miss out on points again, finishing 11th.
-RACE 2️⃣🏁 As the flag dropped the rain started to fall. The wetter it got, the further Riley slipped back. He has struggled in the rain due to lack of experience, but kept it on track and finished the race, gaining valuable experience. 15th.
-RACE 3️⃣🏁 Final race — raining and very wet. We tried a few new set-up changes to give Riley some more confidence. From the moment the flag dropped it was total chaos: a rollover, drifting, pile-ups, spinners… yellow flag after yellow flag, stoppage after stoppage. Riley survived all the drama and held it together to bring home some points in his best finishing position of the weekend. 8th.

Finishing three days of drama on a high. Well done Riley. 👍🏎️💨🏁

STOXKARTS RD 10 Scunthorpe & RD 11 Buxton

Saturday saw Riley head to his first-ever shale meeting at a scorching hot Scunthorpe. A little nervous going into the opening race — having never raced on shale before — he quickly settled in, and was soon flying around the track. He came off covered in shale with a big smile on his face. Heat 2 and the final followed a similar pattern, though the track wasn’t watered and became dusty. He brought home solid points with another 8th and a 10th in the final.
A good, strong performance.

Sunday was another hot one, this time at Buxton, and it turned out to be a tough day. As Riley gains more experience and speed, he’s finding himself in more on-track battles with fellow drivers. The argy-bargy is now his next big learning curve.
Race 1 was steady, claiming the last points spot in 10th. Race 2 saw him end up facing the wrong way in a mid-pack scrap for positions. Trying to recover, he pushed a little too hard, spun out and got stuck on the infield banking — DNF. In the final we had everything crossed for a strong finish, but it wasn’t to be. A clash with another driver knocked the chain off and ended any chance of another points finish.

Now time to reset as up next is Skegness for a triple-header over the bank holiday.

Stoxkarts Rounds 8 & 9 – Buxton

As is typical for Buxton, we battled all four seasons in one weekend.
Riley had is first experience of driving in the rain, complete with some sideways action and a few spins. Nevertheless he leant a lot to carry forward into the season.

Throughout the weekend Riley’s driving continued to get smoother and more consistent, allowing him to carry more momentum and steadily increase his speed.
This rewarded him with a new personal fastest lap time for the circuit.

He also managed to score points in 5 out of 6 races, finishing with a solid 31 points for the weekend, and a new best finishing position of 6th.

Saturday
• Heat 1: 8th
• Heat 2: 10th
• Final: 8th

Sunday
• Heat 1: 6th
• Heat 2: DNF
• Final: 8th

These results now see him sitting mid table in the overall championship.

Well Done Riley - another strong weekend.

Stoxkarts Skegness Rounds 6 & 7 13/14-6-2026

6 races | 4 points finishes | 1 DNF

Drama struck before we’d even started racing. An incident in practice left us with “three wheels on the wagon,” but thankfully there was no major damage. We worked hard and had the kart ready for the first race.

Starting from the back as a novice, Riley produced a brilliant drive to finish 10th.
For Race 2 we had a big change. Riley lost his novice sticker and lined up at the front of the grid for the first time. This also meant the more experienced drivers now had the right to push him out of the way. After a few knocks and bangs, he fought hard and brought it home in 12th position — still in the points.

As the weekend progressed, Riley’s confidence grew significantly. By Sunday afternoon he had learned how to survive contact — and had even started dishing out a few hits of his own.
His other results were 13th, 11th, and 10th.

Unfortunately, we picked up a DNF in the second race on Sunday after contact with another kart sent him into the pit gate. This bent the steering arm and knocked the chain off.

Overall, another fantastic Stoxkarts weekend.

A return to Buxton this week for the 5th round and the all-important British Championship decider.
Riley was flying, showing massive improvement from our last visit there just two months ago. He shaved a full 5 seconds off his fastest lap and increased his top speed by 7 mph.
This strong form earned him a place on the scoreboard in the heats, putting him on the grid and in the mix for the British Championship. He was running really well and collecting points until a spin on the very last bend dropped him out of the positions. He finished 13th.
Still, he picked up his first piece of silverware for qualifying — a great reward for his progress
