Why do we spend so much time on multiskills, movement games and technical warm ups? 🎾🏃♂️✨
Because great tennis players are not built from forehands alone.
At a young age, children are developing their ABCs of movement:
• Agility
• Balance
• Coordination
Alongside this, we focus heavily on hand eye coordination, reaction speed, spatial awareness and basic athletic movement patterns.
These foundations are incredibly important because the body learns movement best during childhood. The skills developed now transfer directly into tennis later on. Better balance helps with recovery, coordination improves timing and striking, and agility helps children move confidently around the court.
Most importantly… the children are learning all of this through play, energy and enjoyment without even realising how much they are developing 💚💙 it’s a win-win!
Strong athletic foundations first. Tennis skills grow naturally from there 🎾
We are also excited to now be expanding into more primary schools and growing our summer programme starting this September ☀️
