China Spirit UK China Spirit UK is a Chinese Cultural and well-being centre. We teach Shaolin Kung Fu-Wushu, Tai Chi, kick-boxing, Kundalini Yoga and Mandarin language

We feel that the timing is now right for harmonizing the existing activities into one central place, which will become a Chinese Health, Wellbeing and Cultural awareness centre called “China Spirit”. Our main aim is to educate the residents of Wirral and Merseyside about alternative lifestyles in order to improve overall health and wellbeing. The centre also will educate children and adults about

Chinese culture. We deliver a range of health and wellbeing services and activities for all age groups from children and adults. Includes:
Tai Chi, Qi Gong,
Kung Fu and Wushu
San Shou (Chinese Kick Boxing)
Chinese Calligraphy classes
Mandarin classes
Traditional Chinese Dance classes
Relaxation and meditation classes

For the first time adults and youngsters on the Wirral and in Liverpool can be taught by a real, in the Shaolin Temple trained Martial Arts Master.Can you imagine you and your children benefiting from world class tuition in the original, purest form of the art of Kung Fu and Tai Chi - Qi Gong, enjoying the cultural aspects of a society very different from ours. Teaching focuses on the ethos of the acient arts - self-discipline, a healthy lifestyle and restraint: qualities that are fundamental to the development of good young citizens, rather than the drug-taking, vandalising alternative sub-culture.

General information

Tai chi is a mystical yet highly effective Chinese Art. Researches have found that long term Tai Chi practice shows some favorable but statistically insignificant effects on the promotion of balance control, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness and reduced risk of falls in elderly patients. The studies also show some reduced pain, stress and anxiety in health subjects, improved cardiovascularand respiratory function in healthy subjacts as well as those who had undergone coronary artery bypass surgery. Patients may also benefit from tai chi who suffered from heart failure, high blood pressure, heart attack, arthiritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
