After a long old weekend the Club Champions are crowned for another year.
Not everyone was around for to collect their prizes but the results are as follows
Nine hole Champion - Jim McKnight
Ladies Champion - Amanda Haigh
Seniors Scratch Champion - Martin Wilton
Seniors Handicap Champion - David Batten
Men’s Handicap Champion - George Groves
Captains Plate - Tim Woods
Men’s Champion - Steve Hack

We wanted to say a big thankyou to all the members that took part in today’s brand new ABC Scramble.
In terms of prize giving the biggest so far we’ve done at the club with over £1200 worth of prizes given out!!!

So well done to everyone pictured who picked up the prizes and a special thanks to all players who took part!!!

Next month: Club championships (9 hole), club championships (men’s), club championships (ladies) and club championships (seniors)!!!

It’s been so busy here over the last two weeks we completely forgot to say congratulations to Sam Beesley, Jordan Cox and Harry Lambert who triumphed in this years sweltering Hawaiian Scramble!!!
A fantastic turnout for this maturing competition which now has its own trophy that can be contested year on year!

The Nations Cup always marks the true start to the golfing season here at Avisford.
And this year it was the Scottish team celebrating their first cup win. Mainly thanks to some wonderful par threes!
Well done Scotland we’re all looking forward to a very haggis heavy prize pot next year!

Congratulations to all our medal and stableford winner from this season who took part in this years “Champion of Champions” challenge today.
With Mark Archer taking the over all prize by triumphing in the stableford and putting challenge to amass the most points over the day.
Special well dones to Martin Wilton and Adam Hawkins who both took victories in chipping and medal rounds respectively.

Avisford Park Golf Club - looking for reliable clubhouse assistant (mainly bar work, needs to be computer literate with a high degree of customer service)
Hours of work are Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday 12pm - 5pm
In the summer these hours can be extended and some weekends occasionally for holiday cover.
Decent opportunity to progress and pick up more hours in other departments if you want them.
