🥈Super pleased to have finished 2nd overall for the 2026 5 nations series! The compound women division is becoming bigger and more competitive which means you have to really work for the podium finish. Congrats to Velia for 1st and Florentina for 3rd.

I shot a similar score both days across two beautiful challenging courses. We shot some around 30 degrees downhill shots and something close to that uphill (the uphills were the most challenging for me physically and when shooting the downhills it was like someone was standing there stabbing my hip by the 3rd arrow which was a treat 😂)- just finishing this weekend was mission accomplished.

A thoroughly enjoyable weekend on and off the course, it was lovely to join friends for a BBQ on the Saturday night. Thanks to Gilles, Stefy and Lea for looking after me on the course, it’s honestly the small things that really make a difference 🥰

I’ll do a separate post about how the series works from a points perspective, if you love field, you should shoot these courses, next year is the 40th year!

Due to my injury I had to lower my expectations for the weekend, which was a big mental shift, those who know me know I’m highly critical of myself. I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I had some doubts about coming. However, competing in pain isn’t a new experience for me and I’m stubborn, more importantly I knew I wasn’t going to do anymore damage, just prolong my recovery. I knew 110% that the time I had already put into technical preparation with equipment would give me a strong foundation to work from, so thanks to Mybo and Merlin Archery for the sponsorship and the support.

Now for my next physio appointment 🥰

Thank you to everyone in Europe who have continued to make me feel incredibly welcome!

Bouschéisser Esch/Uelzecht well done & thank you for a great event.

New quiver arrived early this morning from after only ordering Monday night.

I’ve used my Elevation quiver for more years than I can recall, however I think the hip pad might be aggregating my hip/pelvis/back - no clue where this pain is actually coming from now, I believe it’s due to me compensating when I hurt my back recently. Have another physio apt booked for when I’m back from Esch though ☺️

My new quiver is made by , and initial impressions are good. Will test out over this weekend and do a full review next week.

Sunday just gone was the Chris Jones memorial shoot at Merlin Field Archers. I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Chris, but hearing the stories his family and others in the sport have told me, he’s someone who did a lot of good in his life, and not just for archery! How awesome must it have felt to be the first person to have made something in the UK which has continued to develop some 36 years later!

This ethos continues today with Ben leading the team at Merlin Archery. A company I am proud to be a part of!

I spent the weekend shooting with Alena and Eve - two new ladies FU shooters! 💪💪 Both did brilliantly!

Something’s missing? 👀 ❓I make absolutely no apologies for the sound track, is whatever gets us through right?

Hurrah! Progress…..I spent the day over at Black Eagle shooting a combination round - my first whole day shooting since I injured my back, just over 2 weeks ago. I’m delighted to report that my back held strong. The majority of my discomfort was from my right hip, glutes and knees - apparently these may have been compensating for a bit 😂😮‍💨

My shooting didn’t feel perfect, because really I wasn’t prepared for today, I’ve not shot the same cadence or volume but I shot within a point of my national record so I’m pleased with that!

I’ve just got to keep being careful now to make sure I can finish the season, which means no Sunset on Wednesday sadly, but it’s the right decision. Need to build strength for Esch at the end of August
