A TEAM RESULTS
A middling start for our A Team Men!
2 matches played so far, the first away and the second at home.
Their visit to Bodmin proved ineffective in gaining traction in their bid for the 2026 league title. Home advantage was clearly going to play a big part, as conditions differed significantly compared to their home turf.
In the end they were simply out-bowled, with Bodmin putting their foot down at the right time; halting a comeback from George's rink, and putting the nail in the coffin with a 6 against Craig's gang.
A single point brought home by Captain Richard, whose rink bowled well (as they always do) right through the game.
Back at the Bridge last night, and the familiar pace and lines of their own green proved to be a major leg up against visitors Dunheved.
A solid performance from every player simply held the Launceston team at bay, with front-ends putting the pressure on early, and back-ends minimising damage and occasionally pulling off shots to turn the head over.
Back on track, and eager to keep the momentum up against big guns Stratton next week!
