I decided to tackle today’s Cardio Summit session solo.
The challenge?
Complete the targets while keeping my heart rate in the prescribed aerobic zone (80-89%).
Some targets I hit.
Some I didn’t.
And that’s exactly what made today’s session so valuable.
One of the biggest mistakes people make with cardio is assuming harder is always better. In reality, aerobic training requires discipline. Sometimes the goal isn’t to move faster, it’s to stay in the right zone.
What I found was that the best strategy looked completely different depending on how my heart rate responded.
Some people need longer work periods because their heart rate rises slowly and recovers quickly.
Others need shorter bursts because their heart rate spikes fast and stays elevated.
Neither is right or wrong.
The goal is understanding your body and adjusting your strategy accordingly.
Cardio Summit isn’t about who can suffer the most.
It’s about learning how to manage your effort, control your heart rate, and build a bigger engine over time. 💜
Did you hit all the targets today? 👇
