Having run out of room on our previous post, Howick point to point proved a great day for the team, our fantastic jockeys and wonderful owners. A huge thanks to all that supported on the day, helping behind the scenes at the lorry park and taking such great care of the boys after their races, teamwork at its best! ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿพ

Finally a heartfelt and cherished moment of reflection from all of us for the lovely Sam, who we know would have been looking over us all and in particular Otis and Zack yesterday by guiding them to success. Sam, your cheeky smile, humour, infectious character and legacy as such a key member of the team will remain with us always! Thanks for the special memories, Kick on and rest easy champ โค๏ธ

What a fantastic day at Howick Point to Point yesterday, with our five runners producing two firsts, two thirds and a fifth.

First up was Karaktere Dโ€™enfere who duly obliged when winning the Hunt Members race convincingly by 18 lengths under a confident ride from Zack Baker. This was his 2nd win from only 2 runs, following up on his previous run when winning his maiden at Chaddesley Corbett back in December ๐Ÿ†

Next up was Is Our Otis, who took the Restricted putting in a great round of jumping until a scare at the last but still went on to win convincingly by an official 4 lengths under another great ride from Zack. This was also his 2nd win from 2 runs having lost his maiden tag at the first time of asking over fences when given a confidence building ride by Sam Lee at Bitterly last season. This win was even more poignant on the day as in the words of Zack, โ€œSam had made a man of the boyโ€ when having won on Otis last April having never ridden him previously. The sun shone and the team and Otisโ€™s owners Rob and Julie certainly felt Samโ€™s presence when Otis survived a scary moment when knuckling on landing over the last fence before going on to take his win ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ˜

The first of our 3rd placings was Western Cowboy who also ran a great race in the Hunt Members under his owner/rider Shannon Nixon, who gave a confident display when being placed for the first time on only her second ride, well done Shannon and Woody ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Kauto No Risk (Timmy) was next to run in the Mixed Open and ran a blinder to finish a 4 lengths 3rd!
Having missed last season, this was his first run for nearly 2 years and having displayed a confident round of jumping and running all the way to the line under Zack, we are delighted with him !!๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ˜

Last up in the Maiden was new recruit, A Mighty King who jumped well and ran a solid race under his owner/rider Will Badlan to take 5th place. This was Mightyโ€™s first run for us having only been in the yard for a month, so lots to look forward to.
