Army Gliding Club (Anglia) is an Army Gliding Association Club. We fly from Wattisham Flying Station, the home of the British Army’s Apache helicopter. We provide sport and adventurous training opportunities for Serving Personnel, Reservists, Veterans, Cadets and local civilians.

When circumstances prevent us flying, we take the word grounded very seriously, cutting grass (and brambles), tidying the areas around our hangars, even sorting out the Neopolitan overcrowding in Trailer Village.

Seb smiles triumphantly, but not just because of his superb landing; he took off to fly 100 km for his Silver Badge, but whilst he was at it stayed in the air for over five hours and thermalled high enough that he came back with distance PLUS duration and height gain all in one, a full house.
It doesn't come much better, and we're exceedingly chuffed for him. 😁
