If you’re thinking about getting fitter before summer, the best thing you can do isn’t overhaul everything all at once 🏃

You don’t need to train every day, and you definitely don’t need to “start over.”

You just need a starting point that fits into your life as it is right now.

For most of the women I work with, that looks like a couple of sessions a week, something flexible, and a bit of support to keep things moving when life gets busy. And that’s what makes it sustainable.

First session of my week always begins with speed drills - Why? Because it helps set me up and keeps me consistent with my training for the rest of the week and of course why not do something I enjoy, as you know I love running! 😀

This sessions does not only benefit me physically but most importantly it is a form of mental training, something that I am very mindful of when it comes to planning my workouts! It helps keep me performing to my peak potential that allows me not to give up when my body no longer wishes to keep going. As I say to my Streamline team it’s ‘Mind over body’ It’s a way to help keep me focus, give me confidence and deal with any distractions that may be going on around me that will help achieve my fitness, health and lifestyle goals and reminds me that anything is possible if I put my mind to it! 👊🏻

Do you as a parent exercise around your children?

Having my own gym space brings so many benefits to my business but also it gives me the opportunity to workout with my boys around and brings many benefits to their life too!

Most people don’t actually struggle to get started. They struggle to keep going.

And more often than not, it’s because the plan they’ve chosen just doesn’t fit their life. 😔

It asks for too much, too quickly, with no flexibility for work, kids, tired days or everything else that inevitably gets in the way.

So you start off well, you feel motivated, and then a couple of weeks in it all starts to feel a bit too much… and it falls away.

That’s not a motivation problem. It’s a support problem. And usually, it just means the plan wasn’t right for you in the first place.

There are two types of people, those who plan and those who do not. Which one are you?? (I’m a definite planner 😊)

I’ve met a few clients over the years who have started a weight loss or fitness journey who push hard at hours of cardio and restrict calories, who don’t have a plan. They “wing it” with exercise they think they should be doing and find themselves unmotivated and giving up too soon. 😬

If you find yourself losing focus or about to throw in the towel, think about why you started. Get a plan, set a goal, trust me it helps 😊

The good news is that you don’t have to overthink your plan - that’s my job! 💫

There’s always a point in May where it just shifts a little bit.

The weather changes, holidays start getting mentioned, and suddenly there’s that quiet thought in the background… “I should probably do something.”

Not in a dramatic January way, just a gentle feeling that you’d quite like to feel a bit better in yourself before summer arrives.

And for most of the women I work with, it’s not about chasing a “summer body” at all.

It’s about having a bit more energy, feeling stronger, and just feeling more like yourself again.

If that’s where you’re at right now, you’re definitely not the only one 💛

London Marathon Finisher 🙌🏻

Her months of dedication and hard work of training all paid off and she absolutely smashed it! To top it off she loved every moment of the 26.2 miles 🏃🏽‍♀️
