1. The Morning Power Smoothie
With Funki Coffee

Ingredients
· 1–2 heaped tbsp Funki Coffee
· 100ml hot water (for brewing)
· 1 frozen banana
· 1 tbsp almond butter or peanut butter
· 1 tbsp Cacao
· 200ml oat milk or almond milk
· 1 Medjool date, pitted (or 1 tsp maple syrup)
· 1 small handful of ice
· Optional add-ins: 1 tbsp h**p seeds, 1 tbsp flaxseed, ¼ avocado, a scoop of your favourite plant-based protein

Method
1. Brew a small, strong cafetière of Funki Coffee using 100ml of hot water. Steep for 4 minutes, press, and allow to cool for a few minutes (or pop in the fridge to speed things up).
2. Add the cooled brewed coffee and all remaining ingredients to a blender.
3. Blend until completely smooth, about 60 seconds on high speed.
4. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Pour into a large glass.

We had an incredible time performing our Comedy Wellness show at The Big Retreat Festival — a Ted Talk with sketches, storytelling, and wellness tips woven through comedy.

Using our comedy background to explore wellness felt like a bit of a risk, but instinctively we knew humour could help audiences relax, connect, and feel safe enough to engage with more meaningful conversations. And it absolutely worked.

From wellness influencers trying to sell “roadkill fox tail eyebrows,” to the awkward reality of sober dating, to two women competitively trying to outdo each other over who has the worst illness — the sketches gave us a chance to poke fun at modern wellness culture while sharing honest experiences about thriving, resilience, and wellbeing.

We had an absolute blast performing the show, and the audience response was amazing. It was such a great feeling to trust our instincts creatively and see people laughing, connecting, and embracing the message behind the comedy.

What a weekend at the The Big Retreat Festival.

From Mr. Motivator(he's 73!) bringing the energy, to hot cocoa in the cutest tent we’ve ever been in, trail running with the most incredible runners, and performing our show to an audience full of laughter, smiles, and genuine connection, it was all pretty special.

A thoroughly wonderful weekend from start to finish, and we can’t recommend this amazing festival enough.
