What’s the kindest gift you could give yourself this Christmas?

If alcohol is a regular habit in your life and you’re curious about how different life could be without it, giving it a swerve going forward could be one of THE biggest power moves you’ll ever make.

It’s not necessarily easy to start with and willpower alone is short lived. That’s why I’ve put together my 5 top power moves to make before you leave it behind.

1. Know your “why’s.”

2. Identify your main triggers

3. Create a healthy early morning ritual

4. Build your “power replacements” before you need them.

5. Claim your future identity now.

You don’t need to be at what you’d consider “rock bottom” to decide you’re done with alcohol.

Peri-menopause is a great time to realign your health priorities and start putting YOU first. The benefits are endless! 💪🎁

Much of the time it’s habit based not hormone based..

So, something happened this week that I’m very excited about! I was accepted as a Licensed Menopause Champion with the Menopause Experts Group! 🎉
As many of you will already know, I love a challenge and as a coach & mentor, my aims involve breaking stigma, helping in creating awareness and support for women from Peri-Menopause and beyond, particularly in the areas of self-medication and loss of identity midlife.
Lots in the pipeline so watch this space! ✨

In my role as an Alcohol-Free Living Mentor I see every day how common the link between childhood trauma and problematic drinking seems to be.

There is usually a significant reason why an individual develops an issue with alcohol and what actually defines an issue is, in itself, very subjective. We don’t need to be at what we’d consider “rock bottom” to realise that alcohol is no longer a helpful part of our lives and want to change things and often it’s helpful to look at our “why’s” (not just why we want to change our relationship with alcohol but also why we have let it get a bit of a grip on us in the first place.)

Sometimes this can feel very uncomfortable and requires digging deep with a whole heap of self-compassion and patience. This is why I’ve created my Inner Child Journal, giving you an opportunity to delve deep and communicate with your inner child, giving her space and a voice.

Healing isn’t by any means linear but this guided conversation journal can be used as a helpful tool to get you started on the right tracks.

If this resonates with you or you have any questions about the journal, please do get in touch. Or you can grab your copy in my Stan Store now.
