The JRX Retro Fit Transmission project continues to make good progress, with the first samples of the layshaft and slipper plates arriving just in time for the first sample of the moulded gearbox case, which we hope to have completed by the end of this week.

The new layshaft is designed for use in both the Retro Fit and XX transmission cases. It has been developed to work seamlessly with the JC Racing Retro Fit gearbox case, along with JC Racing slipper plates, internal gears, and outdrives. We are also working to make all the components required for a complete transmission available ASAP.

We have yet to test-fit the slipper plates on an original (OG) layshaft. We're hopeful that they will fit, but if not, it simply means using the complete range of JC Racing components to build the ideal transmission setup.

More updates will follow as testing and development continue.

New XX and JRX2 Heavy Duty Universal Driveshafts Now Available!

Improve bump handling and increase durability on your vintage XX race vehicle with these long-awaited Heavy Duty Universal Driveshafts.

Designed to work with JC Racing XX Outdrives (Part No. JCS-0093), these universals can also be used with original Losi outdrives, as the same ball and pin dimensions have been retained for authentic Losi compatibility.

These driveshafts are designed for use with the LXT-style rear hubs/uprights (Part No. JCS-0172).

If you're fortunate enough to own a retrofit transmission case, these universals can also be fitted to the JRX2 when used in conjunction with LXT-style rear hubs and H-arms.

Compatibility with 5-link rear suspension setups is currently to be confirmed (TBC).

Retrofit transmission cases will soon be available from JC Racing. We have already begun development of the next-generation retrofit gearbox and are excited to bring this into production.

JC10 TUB Pre-Cut Chassis Update

Well… not quite drilled yet, but currently pre-cut!

We’ve finally had the chassis hardened back up to T6 specification, which is a huge milestone in the process. Next up will be drilling, tumbling/polishing, and then finally coating before they’re ready.

It’s been a long road with this one, but we’re getting closer. We really hope you like the end product when it finally arrives. We think it’ll be worth the wait. 🙌

JC Racing Products - A&L 1991 Suspension Arm Release

Everybody loves a bit of A&L. "Something a little different"

JC Racing Products, in collaboration with Factory Works and A&L Racing, are proud to introduce the newly developed moulded front and rear A-arms for the iconic A&L platform raced at the 1991 IFMAR World Championships in Detroit, a project that Jeff Malar has spent many years helping to resurrect and preserve. This one is going to be quite unique.

Inspired by the progression toward longer suspension arm designs and the innovative engineering approaches of the era, these new arms remain faithful to the original concept while benefiting from modern manufacturing methods.

Manufactured in-house using an injection moulded hybrid nylon material, the new suspension arms retain the original geometry, styling, and visual character of the classic machined nylon components used on the original cars.

The arms are available in two distinct finishes:
* Natural - capturing the authentic appearance and nostalgic feel of the original period components.
* Black - offering a more modern, practical, and race-oriented aesthetic.

Toe-In & Anti-Squat System Approved

The JRX2 Technology toe-in and anti-squat concept has now been fully approved.

We will honour the original options available from Losi (Part No: A-2016), but instead of multiple blocks, we’ve developed a refined shim-based system. This approach reduces the number of components required while maintaining full adjustability.

Below is a sample print of the system, which has been tested and performs perfectly.

The latest additions to the JRX moulded parts lineup are complete. Designed to work seamlessly together for optimum performance, both components can also be used individually with minor adjustments. Each part retains the original geometry, ensuring full compatibility with standard components.

Built with versatility at its core, the JRX Battery Cradle accommodates a wide range of battery sizes. Run the battery gate for shorty packs, fine-tune height using bands, or opt for a retro-style setup with a traditional battery brace. The choice is yours.

The cradle mounts directly to the JC Racing rear bulkhead, enhancing strength and rigidity while maintaining the characteristic feel of the original design, refined with a modern JC Racing touch.

Final finishing touches are being applied to the Team Losi JRX2 Battery Cradle, using EDM spark erosion to incorporate the JC Racing logo with precision.

T1 test samples are up next and these will allow us to review the design, make any final adjustments if required, and then move forward with the rear bulkhead and retro-fit transmission case.

Pre-cut and drilled long arm RC10 chassis update.

It takes some seriously mighty machines to produce a few small RC parts…

This project has been a real test of patience and endurance.

But now we’re getting somewhere. Not as immaculate as we hoped but pretty close

Our pressed and clipped chassis are finally in hand, ready for the next stages: heat treatment, drilling, polishing, and ultimately coating.

Anyone who thinks this is easy… it really isn’t.
