‼️Emotional post 🥲
These absolute ROCKSTARS! I had a bit of a teary emotional moment the other day in class, which was totally unfair as the women in front of me are all experiencing a hormonal rollercoaster ride everyday😂 But these women, who are all third trimester, some 39 weeks, have been with Warrior for over 1/2 their pregnancy, ALL absolutely nailed supported full sit-ups with amazing abdominal coordination, control and most importantly confidence!!
Some of these ladies have suffered with constant pelvic pain, sickness, fatigue, some had never incorporated strength and resistance training or exercises in their weekly routines pre-pregnancy but they have ALL SHOWED UP in so many ways during pregnancy.
Doing a sit up isn’t a badge of honour, it’s functional training that has both protective and preventive measures.
(I can appreciate that it may be taboo but we can get into that another day)
Seeing the full class ACING it last Tuesday night was such a celebratory moment and the emotions got the better of me! 🥹
While it may not always be 1:1, the evidence around continuity of care speaks volumes, having consistent, familiar support throughout pregnancy not only improves outcomes but builds trust, confidence and connection, creating a space that feels just as powerful as individualised care, with the added magic of community and friendship alongside it.
And these ladies have undoubtedly created all of this in the class. Kx
Shout out to Pelvic Health with Rosie and hear mentorship program for pushing me to go deeper in creating programmes that are truly rooted in evidence and meaningful support for women.
