5 REASONS TO VOTE ME AS AU OFFICER NEXT WEEK✋🏻
1. Experience💁🏼♀️
I have had direct experience of running and understanding uni sports clubs, not only from holding various committee roles within ice hockey, but also from sitting on AU Executive Committee and becoming better aware of all 63 clubs needs and wants from the uni!
2. Care❣️
I care about as many students as possible getting involved in AU clubs and enabling others to shape their university experience through involvement in clubs & their communities! LGBTQIA+ and gender inclusion, and disability (mental & physical) and financial accessibility is so important, so will be a running focus through the year!
3. Awareness🤔
I am hugely aware that Team Newcastle is made up of 63 very different clubs, competing under a number of leagues (just a few shown on the slide) with different requirements and allowances, so all clubs will have a variety of needs and wants. There can’t be one rule for all, and BUCS conditions can’t be forced upon all clubs as standard, so I want to see every club as an individual within TN!
4. Approachable😊
I’d like to think I’m a friendly face, which will make it easier for clubs, committees & all students to come to me with any issues or queries! I’d like to take an open-door approach, a transparency in all decision making and will always listen to suggestions, as at the end of the day, AU works for you, the students!
5. Passion 🙌🏻
I love sport, playing and watching has made my time at university, the friends I’ve made through it and the experiences I’ve had are incredible, so I want to ensure more people get the same chance! I am motivated to see where the issues lie and tackle them head first to improve sporting student expedience!!
