What a fantastic experience entering 3 teams into the Stoehr Cup in Ware, hosted by ! The event was superbly organised and great for players of all abilities. We can't recommend it enough if you get the chance to participate!

🎉 ONE YEAR OF SUSSEX PICKLEBALL ACADEMY! 🎉

12 months ago we started with a vision, a few paddles, and a whole lot of energy… and what a year it’s been.

From packed sessions and competitive matches to new friendships and plenty of laughs on court, we couldn’t have done it without our incredible members. Your commitment, support and passion is what drives our club forward.

A big shoutout too to all the opponents and clubs we’ve faced this year, you’ve pushed us, challenged us and helped raise our game every step of the way.

We’re proud of everything we’ve built in year one… and even more excited about what’s coming next. More wins. More fun.

The final session of the year was a real blast on Friday with a very competitive team tournament and then a prize court. Very well done to Michelle, Malcolm, Serhii and Heather who took the honours in the team competition!

A very happy Christmas to everyone from SPA and we look forward to LOTS more pickleball next year!!

A lot of fun was had by all last night at our final Wednesday session of the year. A mini tournament won in great style by Mags Young and Mike La Rooy, followed by a fun prize court with lots of goodies on offer if you could hit them! Well done to all 11 pairs who each won at least one game, a very even and competitive evening!!!

It was sea of SPA shirts at the very well attended PIQLBALL JAM festival last weekend! A lot of fun and learning had by all, some great play and competitive games. 💪🏼💪🏼

Some great play at our first match of the Sussex Pickleball League season last Friday.

Our Men’s Div1 team had a great result winning 5-1 in their matches vs D**k Brighton who put up a fantastic fight!

The Mixed Div 2 A team played equally well pipping the win 4-2 vs East Grinstead Picklemonsters with some fantastic games.

A great start to the season for both teams, looking forward to many more great games over the winter season 💪🏼

A fantastic day at the first KESPL of the season. With teams in divisions 2, 3 and 5 we had a very busy afternoon of Pickleball.

SPA 1 stole the show, only dropping 2 games the whole day and by only 1 & 2 points in division 2. An amazing result putting them up to the top division next month.

SPA 2 & 3 also had some brilliant matches against some very strong teams with some great wins under their belts.

Big shout out to Kay in SPA 1 and Vic in SPA 3 who absolutely smashed their first competitive Pickleball outings! Big things to come from them 💪🏼

What a fantastic conclusion to what has been a hugely successful Summer Ladder League. We could never have dreamt this session would have the uptake it did considering we were such a new club but with 95% of the sessions having all 24 attendees plus a waitlist it vastly exceeded expectations and by all accounts was very much enjoyed by everyone who came along.

A huge shout out to Toby for not only his outstanding organisational skills putting the games together each week but then typing up the score sheets and putting all the games into DUPR (827 games over the 22 weeks!)

Last night, a fun team session concluded the season followed by drinks and prize giving. A really great night had by all and we can’t wait to host this great session again next summer!

Absolutely fantastic weekend up at the Cambridge Pickleball Willing Cup tournament. Sussex Pickleball Academy took two teams for two full days of competition, playing in some absolutely incredible games.

Toby, Graham, Lucy and Chris had an amazing tournament, winning the silver in their category.

Andrew, Ming, Fiona and Charlotte also had a brilliant weekend getting 4th in their category just missing out on a medal.

As always, a brilliantly run tournament and thoroughly enjoyable weekend, thank you very much to the very hard working team at Cambridge who make it possible!
