Buxted Park Bowls Club We are located in a stunning country setting in parkland on the outskirts of Buxted Village.

We are a mixed club of around 60 members with a diverse, friendly membership and active social calendar.

Men’s and Ladies Top Clubs

Well it was fun whilst it lasted…

Friday night our men played at home in the first round of the National Top Club competition against The Crouch.
Everyone played brilliantly but it just wasn’t to be this year only winning in two of the five disciplines. That being said the games were incredibly close only losing by 1 shot in both the 2wood singles and the pairs.

Spirits remained high though as cooking on the BBQ were bacon rolls and burgers ready for the hungry belly’s when the game finished 😋🥓

Then today our ladies travelled down to Rottingdean for the second round of the county top club.
A close game again winning in two disciples and just missing out on the over all score.

We wish the best of luck to The crouch and Rottingdean in their next rounds!

This morning 10 of our ladies travelled to Felbridge bowls club for the first round of the county top club.

It was a hot one ☀️☀️ but Buxted played brilliantly winning the overall score 84-58 after drawing 4-4 on points in the disciplines.

A brilliantly close game in the singles just losing by a couple of shots 21-19 and pairs losing by just 1 shot on the very last end 15-14.

The triples won 24-15 and a fantastic win in the fours of 27-7 by Anne K, Janet D, Anna S and Eileen M.

Buxted will be playing away to Rottingdean in the next round on Saturday 30th May.

This morning we welcomed 8 men from The Crouch bowls club for the first round of the Men’s National Double Fours.

The game started close with Buxted just edging it 19-10 overall at 9 ends.

Andrew, Mick, Peter and Mark kept the scores tight on their rink finishing just two shots down at 18 ends.

However an impressive win from Lou, John, Peter and Alex who ended the game 28-9 giving Buxted an overall win of 41-24!

All players from both teams played really well and a great morning was had by all.

Buxted will be away to either Newick or Woodingdean in the next round.

We look forward to seeing everyone from The Crouch again soon when we play them in the first round of the Men’s Top Club.

CLUB DAY !

What a brilliant afternoon we’ve had today. 19 players all took to the green for a friendly competition of mixed disciplines.

Roaming jacks - 4,3,2,1 - yardstick - triples

Massive congratulations to our winning team of Martin L, Nicola D and Linda P.

Birthday boy Alex P came in a close second with Pauline and Sheila 🥳

The afternoon finished with a delicious buffet in the club house.

Big thank you to everyone who helped set up the green, supplied the food and helped clear and tidy up.

This afternoon we welcome Peacehaven & Telscombe Bowls Club to Buxted for our first friendly match of the season.

The sun is shining so I have no doubt it will be an enjoyable day for all.

Tomorrow’s the Day !

2025 as a club we had lots to celebrate but can we make 2026 even better? 🏆

Saturday 18th April at 2pm our green officially opens for this summer outdoor season and we just can’t wait to welcome everyone back to our club for a fun and succcessful year.

Our calender is packed full of fixtures from friendlies to hosting county semi finals, so there’s plenty to keep us all busy.

The countdown is on until our green officially opens on Saturday 18th April!

The green is looking great and we can’t wait to welcome all our members ‘home’ for this outdoor season.
