Universal Football Club is a project that helps children and young adults to develop their skills in football, improving their health and fitness. The group attracts a wide range of children, with different social backgrounds, education and special needs. It was established in 2001 by a group of parents and some volunteers. The club was then established with the idea of promoting a variety of spor
ts for the community (with a main focus in football) as a way of entertaining, integrating and encouraging exercise for a healthier life style and a better future with better prospects for our children. For our children this project is now their space, a way to be in control, giving them choices and aspirations. For us parents and as community workers is a way to keep them off street crime, drug addiction and other anti-social behavior. Now days Universal FC is a well established social and sporting group for children of different ages and levels. We take part in several tournaments in English football leagues with excellent competitive results. At present the club is one of the most recognized latin american amateur sports organisations in london with full support of the community in general, working for and with the people for the integral development of our kind and their families. We have gained a well deserved recognition within different football clubs, leagues and the English Football Federation through our work, discipline, performance and reliability in both sport and organization levels.
