Confused
I lay here thinking what happened today
Did l go out, did l stay in, l just can’t say
Cannot remember anything l done again
Maybe it’s true, maybe l am going insane
Hearing things inside my head and mind
Everything so muddled nothing’s defined
Had a coffee, turned out to be just water
Looked in the mirror, and saw my daughter
Getting confused more every passing day
Today l am going to school and out to play
My friends are all coming to see me soon
We will all take a walk under the full moon
All looking up at the stars in the clear sky
Exchanging memories and then say goodbye

Walk in the Rain
Walking in the drizzling rain this morning
Through the woods, thunder a warning
Lightning filters light through the trees
Strange sight and sounds in the breeze
Reach the stream now almost bank high
Ducks take flight into early morning sky
Birds and animals you can hear their call
Rain now very heavy, leaves start to fall
Trees, rushes take on their autumn hue
Lovely colours, red, orange, yellow on view
Nature showing another beautiful season
Storm now passed over, there’s a reason
Rain stopped, the early morning sun rises
Spiders sparkling webs win nature’s prizes
Rabbits now darting from the undergrowth
Squirrels start their search, funny the both
Ducks now returning to the bank of stream
I am glad to be part of this wonderful dream
Clouds now taking on that reddy pink glow
A shepherd’s warning yes that we all know
And yes it might be of more rain to take
Heading home now for a coffee and cake

First Meeting
I remember the very first time we met
You were sitting crying looking very upset
In that little tea room you stole my heart
Sitting down a conversation we did start
Looking at me you told why you were crying
Your partner was again cheating and lying
Said you felt alone not wanted anymore
Held your hand in mine I was not very sure
You stared at me with those eyes so blue
Not sure how you would react,not a clue
We left the tea room still holding your hand
Went to the park,sat in the old bandstand
Put my arm around you,kissed your cheek
Thought I had upset you, you did not speak
I thought it was all over then that lovely smile
You kissed and squeezed me for quite a while
We became inseparable was always together
I proposed,said I want to be with you forever
With that smile and your sparkling blue eyes
I knew then that I had won my biggest prize
After all these beautiful and wonderful years
Looking back I cannot hold back my tears
Through all the good and bad times gone by
You will be in every beat of my heart until I die
