🗣 Performance thoughts 🗣
A really strong performance from the whole team today. We played with real tempo and showed plenty of quality on the ball, creating chances and being clinical when they came.
A massive credit for the clean sheet today, that's where it all starts to be able to win games of football.
The win today is a fantastic result, but we know it’s a long season. We need to take it game by game, keep our standards high and continue building on performances like this.
We now look to forward to the FA Cup game at home on Sunday.

Captain’s thoughts
Today needed to set the tone for our season and the girls absolutely smashed it.
First league game against last year’s winners, and a 6-0 win. What a way to start. We played some really nice football, created chance after chance and showed exactly what we’re capable of.
Going in 2-0 up at half-time, we knew we still had a long second half ahead of us and that we had to keep our standards high. But the girls didn’t just manage the game, we went again and exceeded expectations.
I’m honestly so happy with the performance, but even more so with the togetherness we’re building. The way everyone is coming together, working for each other and, most importantly, having fun while doing it is massive.
This is a special bunch of players and there’s so much more to come from us.
