My year focus in fitness is keeping consistent

Why stretching is important?

I stick to making sure my stretching is done after session because:

Reduces injury risk – prepares muscles and connective tissues to handle load, speed, and range of motion.

Enhances performance – allows you to move more efficiently, hit better positions, and generate force safely.

Aids recovery – helps reduce muscle stiffness and promotes circulation after training.

I've seen a good return to my fitness when properly introducing warm ups and cool downs, I bet you will too.

If you're unsure on how or what tools can help to keep on top of your stretching, let me know in the comments

Brilliant way to finish the year.

21:34 Offcial time.

20secs off PB from July24

Take almost 16 months to properly say I've healed from tearing my ankle and returning to a fitness level I'm happy with.

Super happy with this run. Hard, Aggressive Running focusing on keeping form at speed and trying to give a few a bit of a challenge.

Been training more treadmil runs at using it for easy runs and speed development and it seems to be helping.

Ran today in my old Saucony Endorphin 4's, reason I point it out is because its taken me 10 years to finally say I've found a shoe that works for me really fu***ng well.

Lovely way to finish the year racing the club championship and really helps me look forward to next year's sporting events.

The conversation I had with someone last night really taught me how unique my story is.

Here are just some of the things she said about what we spoke about:
"Your a lot wiser than your age. You're wise enough to be 47 not 27."
"I love how open you are about your life."
"The coaching style you have, shows how much you care."

It was off the back of the second to last class I have at Invictus. We were speaking after the class as she'll be missing my final class there next week and she wanted to show her appreciation after coming to them classes for well over 2 years.

We spent almost 2 hours leaning on the spin bikes chatting about how I've become the person I am today. From my childhood to becoming a husband. She got to learn who I am and why I am who I am.

I find it truly stunning in my life the amount of times I've had people on the edge of their seat listening to my story, but every time I do. Someone finds value from the lessons I've been taught the hard way.

Inspiring me to do a little more in this area...

Foundations are everything.
Just like a house needs strong foundations, a great life is built on them too.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve shared little pieces of stories from myself and clients — moments of overcoming injury, fighting through illness, and tackling mental hurdles.

And here’s what I’ve learned through all of it:
good coaching isn’t just about giving advice… it’s about genuinely caring about someone’s journey.
That’s what separates good coaches from great ones.

Why does that matter?
Because building something meaningful — a life, a career, a family, a healthy body — all starts with solid foundations.

My foundations are rooted in helping others, being part of my family team, and fitness.
I didn’t always know that. I had to go through some tough lessons first — many self-inflicted but necessary for growth.

It’s been almost 5 years since I moved to Thame.
Which wouldn't have happened without me working at . Joined , built a business, bought a home, grew a family… and somewhere along the way, learned to become more self-aware and reflective.

Mentally, it’s been huge.
Physically, I’m still the same guy — training with my Fenix, carrying my kit in my bag, and rotating through every pair of trainers under the sun. Same brands… just slightly newer versions.

If you’ve made it this far — thank you. Truly.
And here’s the part I want to leave you with:

✨ Your story is still being written.
It doesn’t matter where you’re starting from — your foundations can change, grow, and strengthen any time you choose.

So the real question isn’t why read my story?
It’s this:
What’s the next step in building yours?

Client Highlight:

What a legend his lad is.

I still can't believe this journey and hopefully I do it justice.

Charlie started working with me over a year ago at the age of 16. When we started he was struggling with a chronic shoulder injury that started 5 years earlier. It was stopping him learning to drive, carry out everyday tasks and all sort of things that involve using your arm. This has a huge effect on his confidence too. Led him down a path he didn't want to be on.

After many hours spent together we've managed to do some crazy things which should the progress he's made. From bouldering, bench pressing 55kg for 5 reps and (the thing I'm most proud of) built some rock solid foundations that he'll continue to use for the rest of his life.

Charlie this bits for you mate, couldn't be happier with the progress you've made both in the gym but more importantly outside of it. I couldn't be more proud of the journey your on and this next chapter is going to be your hardest but I know you've got it mate. Keep up the hard work, keep staying strong and keep that amazing life changing progress going.

I feel most free when I'm doing crazy stuff.

Running a business
Running in crazy locations
Being a dad
Training to be a warrior

All things my 8 year old self would have thought was cool as hell and things I really enjoy and miss doing

Stay hungry.

Stay humble.

The climb never ends...
Every rep, every run, every round — it’s not about reaching the top, it’s about who you become on the way up.

Wanna hear how much I suck on hills?

Take a listen to how hard it is for me to talk, I don't do long hills much.

Rare experience being able to get up on the Yorkshire Dales. Something I really enjoyed and will be picking a few areas round the UK over the next year to prepare more.

This was part 1 of my climb, more pictures and videos to come out this week.

Never know, might be the start of something new 🤔

Client Highlight:

Helen is amazing...

I would leave it there, but think you need some context, Helen was one of them few clients that's seen my growth over the last 2 years, watching my coaching style change, my family grow, and much more.

Helen over that time she's continued to show me why she's so strong, resilient, and caring. She's done all this despite going through extremely hard challenges.
